I've had this for just about a year and it's still going strong in my dell 7391 all in one. Windows boot up within 10 seconds and everything is snappy. It does run a little hot so I put a laptop cooler when docked at my desk.

Good SSD, Micron Memory and is fast, a lot faster than WD/Sandisk SSD, which I would try to avoid, but this one is a great little drive, with limitations of pci-e g3 this one performs very well, doesn’t get hot either. Plug and play

I have been using this SSD for over a year and have no issues yet. I upgraded the SSD of my Lenovo ThinkPad with this SSD and the process of installing and transferring data from old SSD to the new one was easy.

The m.2 works great! My only complaint is that I had to reformat the drive before it was recognize.

Nice and fast. I've never seen windows install so quick! The P5 is definitely worth the difference over the P2. Would have sprung for the P5 Plus but didn't have a 4 X4 capable CPU and the cost differene was much greater.

My pc is way faster than when it had a sata ssd, the increase of responsiveness is noticeable, it just felt like the jump from hdd to sata ssd, is on another league. No complains in a month, will continue using it and update the review in case is necessary.

This is the main drive for my lap top. Once I got the cloning software on and copied my OS over it loaded right up with no issues. Boot time from dead off to full ready to go is about 2 seconds top. This thing is very stable and quick.

Works as described. Easy to install. Happy with the product. The one thing I would point out is be sure you check your mobo to see if installing this part will nullify other hard drives that are connected via SATA connectors.

I never used an m.2 ssd. but after seeing how this performed in a pc I built, then wow I need to upgrade my own pc. It's very simple to install. probably easier than installing a cpu. Takes up less space in the pc case to make more room for rgb lights.

Another Solid Crucial P Series Offering

The P5 M.2 2280 SSD was an eagerly awaited offering from the Crucial Team. The 1TB config I am reviewing here is a solid performer, with a full 5 year warranty and is competitively priced. The Crucial P5 1TB I am reviewing has been installed a popular gaming notebook (Asus M15) that incorporates dual PCI-E M.2 slots, which can ship with an Optane boosted primary drive. So in this review I am sharing my experience with adding the Crucial P5 1TB as the second storage device, in coexistence with the Intel Optane H10. Installation was simple & quick. The configuration dynamics of combining a second SSD with an Optane device means that the storage controller is primarily set up for an Intel Optane RAID arrangement. As such, the Crucial Storage Executive software is rendered pretty much useless - which is to be expected. There is also no need to install a Crucial specific P5 storage driver. Everything was simply plug & play. At the time of the writing of this review there wasn't a Crucial P5 1TB firmware update and over provisioning was simply controlled through the Win 10 administrative, disk management control panel. The good news, in my particular test configuration, is that the Crucial P5 1TB outperformed the prior secondary SSD - a 960 Pro - that resided in the same M.2 slot and by an average of over 500 megabytes per second. That is great considering the price point of the Crucial P5 1TB. Another favorable discovery was that the P5 averaged just below 40'C for an operating temperature during extended sequential reads and below 50'C during extended write activity. Keep in mind that this is highly impacted by the operational performance of the Asus M15 I am uniquely using. Your experience may end up being different and it's reasonable to expect the operational temps for both reading & writing will increase at the specified, full-rate transfer speeds of the Crucial P5 1TB. With sequential read performance averaging 2.5 GB/sec and 2.0 GB/sec for sustained sequential write performance, the Crucial P5 1TB makes for an awesome secondary storage/backup/working area solid state device in lower power consuming or throttled gaming laptops. Pros: Solid read & write performance 5 year warranty 600 TBW, high endurance rating Comfortable operational temperatures - YMMV Cons: None I look forward to testing out the Crucial P5 1TB in a desktop computer in a fully 'revved up' environment but the mere fact that this SSD performed markedly better than a 960 Pro in the same capacity point, in the same computer platform and does so without breaking a sweat, means I can fully & confidently recommend this SSD for regular computing & gamers alike.

I previously had a normal 1tb HDD in my Dell Inspiron 15 7567 and it was slow, I mean slow. I put this sucker in and now it flies. No more bogged down performance with Photoshop, No more 3 minute boot ups. This ssd is a game changer.

I got this on sale for $79.99. I have used other NVMe SSDs from other manufacturers and this one performs just as well. Plus it has a long 5 year warranty and one of the longest rated lifespan.

This thing is great. I'll admit it, it's kind of overkill for my build as I mostly just play games and do SOME photo editing through photoshop and illustrator, but hey I found it on sale, and I do not regret my purchase at all.

This is a great drive. I am using it as the boot drive in a laptop. I usually purchase Crucial with Micron chips because they have been reliable in the past. All the Crucial parts I have purchased are still running.

Bought the 1st one for $89 thinking it wouldn't be as fast as the Samsung however, running side by side, it benchmarks very competitively at half the price. I bought another one for my laptop.

This drive is just so fast, even compared to other nvme drives. Makes my old computer that runs a Ryzen 2200G seem really fast. Definitely worth it. Run this drive in every computer I have.
