Installation was easy, just make sure to research your computer so you know what to do. This did not include a screw in the box, so make sure you have one. The speed increase was obvious immediately. Operating system booted up faster, and working with large files was so nice (things like moving files happens instantly). Not sure if this is related, but my laptop now works more consistently with sleep/wake (this was always sporadic with the SATA drive). The 1TB storage is excellent to have on the main drive. This allows me to keep games on it, along with the OS and all of my other files. Games also see faster load times - Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Control seemed to open a couple of seconds faster. Easy to recommend this drive, it has great performance, a well known manufacturer, easy install, and large capacity.
