    Bought an X9 1 TB SSD (non pro version) from BB. Hooked it up to my 14" Apple MBP M1 Pro. Great write speeds as advertised (700 to 900 MB/s) until drive is filled up to approximately 270GB. Then the write speed drops permanently and hovers around 40 MB/s. I've tried exFAT and APFS file systems but the problem occurs regardless of file system. It's not an overheating issue either. There is a hard capacity limit of 270GB for the advertised write speed after which write speed performance makes the remaining capacity of the drive useless.

    It came with Acronis cloning software and seemed like a no brainer. First off the software didn't copy all the files. What it did copy it took me forever to get inside, then it bricked! I ran back to best buy and got the Insignia™ - M.2 NVMe to USB-C SSD Enclosure, put my old SSD inside and there were all my files. I could send it back for warranty but all my data is on it and it's not worth it. Customer Service is nonexistent. The phone crackled and hissed like they were in the rain forest and the email support is cryptic.

    This is trash! I backed up my laptop on this external drive so that I could wipe my laptop clean, and when I went back to check the drive, everything was gone.

    I love this hard drive!!! I was surprised at how small it was when I received the package. Very simple to use, just plug it in and it’s ready to go. This far exceeded my expectations. Great buy!!!

    The SSD is working well, but I wish it came with a bit longer cable so it could be positioned better by my computer. Maybe just personal preference, but that's why only 4 stars.

    Advertised as works as a backup for a late model 2015 iMac, did not work, tried on another machine and failed to work as well.
