The read and write speed of this “felt”twice as fast as my older SSD so I tried to play games running off it and have had no issues thus far.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The oarameters of fall resistance on this one goes 7 feet tall, and this one had a small fall within 2 feet and it began to glitch, get slower, and slower until it would lag when reading files (not usual for these at all) and then, it stopped being read by the MacBook and it just went out. I contacted Crucial for the warranty and they were not willing to provide data recovery and were not willing to provide help beyond just replace. I had such important data here that I’m still frustrated, and Best Buy total care decided to advise on just this case that I was “misinformed” by my seller when told that total care had it covered. So a brand new ssd, supposedly meant to resist and be your reliable source, with metal cover etc… within 1 to 2 months just stopped working and my data… inaccessible

I attempted many times to use the windows repair option with no luck. I have also tried updating the firmware to the latest version and was still having issues. Searching online it seems that many people have problems with this drive typically around the 2 month mark but my issues were happening immediately! Returning this to best buy today and will be going with a different external ssd brand.
