  • Crucial Drives NOT compatible with MacBook M4Pro

    I have used the 2TB Crucial drive for Time Machine backup for my M4 Pro MacBook Pro. It is very frustrating that every month or so I have to reformat the Crucial SSD because Time Machine runs into problems with this during backups. First I thought it was X9 so I got the X10 Pro. But it's the same with both drives. I have researched it and it appears many others with Crucial Drives have a similar problem during Time Machine backups. Many users say it has to do with USB compatibility issues between Crucial drives and Apple silicon Macs. If that is the case, it seems to me Crucial should be able to fix that easily. Why they haven't is puzzling. I like the drive: it's compact, really fast, and has a good warranty (3 years for X9 and 5 for X10 Pro) so it's a shame that this issue exists for Mac users. As of now, I am looking for a more Mac-friendly and reliable drive.

    replaced a bulky HDD backup drive for my PC. this is smaller than a credit card. no moving parts. no sounds. fast and plenty of space for my pc backup.

    Incredible that you can squeeze 2 Terabytes into a package this small. Great speeds and slips into my pocket with every photo in my library. Price was very good and I had no problem picking it up.
