Amazing solid state back up drive. About 2” square - 1/2” thick. Some features won’t work with my 12 year old iMac.

Went back to geek squad 3 times- device never worked properly- received a replacement- so far it works

Works great as a laptop docking station, including an extra monitor

Bought this item for use with a 2023 model Samsung TV. The drive was extremely slow to identify on the TV and on the computer used to transfer files. Write speeds were not what was advertised even after changing window settings.

I bought my first one. Loved it. Bought a second one two months ago to use as a video editing drive. Last week it just stopped working. Data corrupt. Lost all of my work. The warranty is useless. It's taken days for me to get Crucial to take it back. I have to pay to ship it. It will take 10 business days (2 weeks) for them to process it. Total shipping time will be over a week + 2 weeks for them to process + the week it's taken to just get them to accept it. 1 month minimum to get a defective hard drive replaced, and that isn't taking into consideration that they are out of stock. It's a great hard drive if it isn't defective, but I will never buy anything made by Crucial again. My other SSD's? Samsung. LaCie, SansDisk? Years of video editing; zero problems. And even if this is a fluke, Crucial customer service is pathetic.

This SSD external hard drive died after 1.5 years of use. Do not buy. I had almost 4 TB of data on it.

Works pretty fast, however not safe for storage. Crashed twice while i was working on my photography projects. Unreliable and i would not at all recommend.

I cannot recommend this unless you like constant transfer errors, suddenly losing permission to various folders, very slow transfer speeds (Going into kb/s speeds) and overall having a frustrating experience. And I mean experiencing every possible manner of frustration for a piece of tech. I will be certainly refunding this and getting something from Sandisk. Do not buy this under any circumstances.

Purchased both the X9 and X10 models for use on my Mac Mini. Almost immediately began seeing issues, error messages, corrupt files, and inability to recover files on these SSD models, either on my current Mac or on another Mac. Did research online, found numerous others complaining about the same problem. Do not purchase these units.

This drive was used between my laptop and PC, working with video files. I don't know what happened but suddenly out of no where the drive just stopped working. Now I can't even boot my PC or MacBook with the drive plugged in and all of the data is gone. A massive waste of $300 I didn't have to lose.

I had issues with it from the beginning not wanting to be detected without having to mess with it frequently. It has been less than a month and the solid-state drive has completely stopped working and wouldn't even format to try and fix any issues.

Doesn't use this drive very often and today it's completely dead, tried in mac - can't mount; and tried in windows - not accessible. Lost of the data on it. Do not recommend

This SSD lasted only 1½ years under light use - a few times a week. 5 to 7 years should be the average lifespan.

Trash drive. First time buying Crucial.. 4tb drive dead after 2 months. Stick with Samsung guys. Waste of time and money.

That's all you need to know. I watched review videos and saw that it was supposedly faster than my other drives. Except it gave out in 1 week. Never again.

Probably the product I've bought at Best Buy in the past 10 years that was defective. This may possibly be an anomaly but I would not make a purchase from this company again.

Failed on the 31st days. Really bad. I will think about twice about this brand.
