Really nice. Much smaller than I expected. Have a Samsung T5 that I thought was small and this is 40% less in volume. Easy to set up on my Mac and very fast. Like 400 gigs in 20-25 min. Very happy

This thing can easily prevent you from spending oodles of money on a MacBook upgrade – speed is… of course, throttled – its USB-c, but there is no room to complain for me. Its hard to use this for development, but going between multiple macs? This is an absolute necessity

Real good! Super small and portable, a great backup option for my Mac. It was really fast, did about 250gb in 5min. I’ll probably get smaller options from this brand for my work and home Mac Time Machine backups.

[Employee of bestbuy] So like other reviewers, performance is amazing on this external SSD. I'll say the only might nit I have (and I expect other SSDs may have similar issues) is that it thermal throttles if you're copying a LOT of data to it at one time. In my case, I was on the tail end of copying over 1TB of data to this 2TB unit, and write speeds would drop into the 50-60MB/s range temporarily, then bump back up to full speed, before doing it again 15-30 seconds later. Now for smaller data, it runs non-stop and I don't notice any throttling. But I thought I'd leave this as a minor data point for anyone doing large amounts of data transfers, you may wish to keep this thing cool or in a position where it gets maximum airflow to mitigate any thermal throttling.

so far so good. size is the biggest factor. and also it doesn't get excruciatingly hot like my sandisk extreme pro does, or even my Samsung t7 does. It's just crazy to me how small it is, I'm actually afraid of losing it haha

This thing is shockingly small, fast, and convenient. I use it for Time Machine backups; no problems there.

Had to backup a lot of data so I could move my stuff over and handover my older machine to family. This device made the transition very light work because it was amazingly fast at backup and transfer.

Great little external SSD drive. I use it to run daily backups of my iMac m4. The installation is quick and easy and Time Machine works perfectly with it. The drive is very small, a little smaller than a credit card. Makes no noise and comes pre configured for Mac. No complaints here.

This might be magic. Small. Powerful. Quiet. Over 30 years in Design and I'm stunned at how so much can be saves to something so small with no fans or noise. Have had it for over a year. Not a single problem. My only "complaint" is that Crucial does not make a wider variety of drives. I guess I'll just have to replace all my noisy, big, and clunky externals with a few of these.

Small unobtrusive size/form factor. Essentially plug & play. Easy back-up of Mac; great replacement of TB drive in my Airport Base Station.
