Works well but description doesn't mention the 2 hr prep time.

We love this ice cream maker! So quick and easy. Pretty foolproof as well, can throw lots of different flavors and mixins and it always turns out well.

Great for the price because I got it on sale. Works great and easy to use. I make vanilla or peanut butter ice cream with chocolate chips several times a week!! Just make sure to follow the directions...The plastic cover is VERY fragile and broke when the paddle got stuck (user error), but nothing some duct tape couldn't fix.

I'm loving this little ice cream maker! I wouldn't say it is super quiet. It has the little engine noise but at least there is no ice sound. It does get a little quieter the closer the ice cream is to getting done. Ice cream is produced quicker than the old-fashioned machines but tastes the same. Not as much mess!

Even though I was surprised that there was some pre-preparation (putting the unit in the freezer ahead of time, mixing ingredients and refrigerating them ahead of time), this ice cream/sorbet maker made an excellent dessert. I made sorbet the first time out. 3 ingredients is all it took (water, peaches, sugar). The night before: make a simple syrup out of the water and sugar, pour it into a blender, add the peaches, and blend. Refrigerate overnight. The next day: take the unit out of the freezer, pour the mixture in and turn it on. Just 20 minutes is all it takes. Hint: I keep the unit in the freezer all the time so that it is ready to make your delicious dessert. Even my 11-year-old can do it. We love this product.

I love my ice cream maker so much! It only takes about 20 minutes to make the ice cream and it is so creamy. It is not very noisy unless you are right next to it, you might just need to raise the volume on the tv a little. I only didn't like that it makes less than 1 quart of ice cream at a time, it won't make a second batch either, second batch is only like a semi frozen slurry. So if you only want a small portion, this is perfect and convenient.

Makes great ice cream, fast! It does all the hard work. Just pour in your mix and let it run - 25 minutes and then HOMEMADE ice cream!

Works like its supposed to. Bought for my dad as a birthday present. decided to go with one that has a reusable cooling element compared to the traditional ones which use ice and salt. It was always a pain to go up to the store and buy ice beforehand. This ones more convenient as long as you remember to put the bowl in the freezer the day before or just leave it in there when you are done using it.

I bought this for my girl friend and her roommate. They absolutly love it and use the heck out of it. It works like a charm and can do soooo many things. It is definatly a universal tool, and an amazing buy for the price. Dont bother going cheaper. you want this one.

Undoubtedly an ice cream maker for the novice. All is needed are ingredients for the type of ice cream and an freezer to cool the ice cream bowl. Highly recommend.

The box says to let the mixer run for 30 minutes but you will get a better batch it you mix it for 45 minutes. Great product for kids and adults!

Easy to use and clean. You can do many of your own Recipes with this, Highly Recommend....I would match the Ice Cream with Haagen-Dazs.

My teenagers love making ice cream with this machine and it is quick and easy. The recipes are great, we love the chocolate best.
