it doesn't totally freeze the mixture as ice cream but you can put it in the freezer for a while and it'll be good

The kids love this ice cream maker. It comes with recipe booklet; but I 'tweaked' the recipes to our liking.

Overall it does a good job. The only downside it the volume that it produces.

Unfortunately I threw away my box for this thing before I took the time to test it. I have used the item every way it recommends (freezing the insert, cooling the liquid, etc.), and I'm not sure if my freezer just doesn't get cold enough to freeze the insert or what, but I am yet to get 1 thing to freeze yet. That includes straight liquid. At most, it turns milk into an icee, but even that's stretching it. I was hoping to buy this instead of a commercial maker, for my home use, but now that I spent the money, I wish I would've just splurged and bought the more expensive one. Now I just have an expensive, and awkward shaped bowl. Totally worthless.

I have never made my own frozen desserts before but this was very easy to use. It was affordable and worked well. A good purchase.

i really like the style and recipe book. The unit is easy to use and easy to clean.

We picked this up as we were tired of paying a lot for dairy free products. We have been able to use Goat Milk and Rice Milk to make great ice cream's...We are using honey along with some yogurt and adding yogurt as needed. I would definitely recommend this machine to any of my friends.

I'm very happy with it. It works great and make good homemade ice cream, the only thing i do not like is the freezing bowl too small it make ice cream not last long for the family to eat that mean i have to make more batch of ice cream ha ha ha but overall is good ice cream maker and good for small family and the kids can help to make the ice cream too...The recipe book came with it, it is the simple ice cream recipes and easy to make and yum...

It is so easy to use. My grandchildren ages 5 and 9 can make their own ice cream.

Easy to use, clean up is a snap. We bought this 4 years ago and it still works like a charm.
