an excellent coffee maker no flaws whatsoever you will be glad you bought one period...

This replaced my last version that last 12+ years. I was so disappointed when the last one died and couldn't have been more excited to get this one. Love the improvements but it doesn't get hot enough.

We had a Cuisinart Coffeemaker like the one I purchased from Best Buy, only older. The old coffeemaker developed a leak and could not be repaired. I looked for a replacement but was not successful and when I was at Best Buy, for something else, I asked for assistance. The Best Buy employee was very helpful and found one on line, with his phone, that Cuisinart sold but wasn't carried by the store. We ordered it and had it shipped to my home since it was a Christmas present. When the coffeemaker arrived, it had been shipped in its regular box without any protective wrapping or padding. The box was in poor condition and once I opened it, there wasn't an owners manual and the plastic covering for the coffeemaker was wrinkled and half off the product. From the first time I used the coffeemaker, it leaked. Originally, I thought I might be doing something wrong but that wasn't the case. I was able to return it to Best Buy and they were very gracious with a store credit. Best Buy was excellent in their assistance with the purchase and with handling my problem. I am very disappointed with Cuisinart. They sent me a defective product and didn't ship the item with proper protection. Maybe they knew that this coffeemaker had a problem and didn't care. I will be very hesitant to buy a Cuisinart product in the future but look forward to shopping with Best Buy and their helpful and knowledgeable employees, many more times.

I am so disappointed in Best Buy. I opened our new coffee maker and started prepping it for use. I noticed what look like hard water spots on the water resevoir and the stainless tray. However I thought it was maybe the cleaning process for new ones. Upon further inspection, the burner inside the pot is more stained than my old one. There is hard water seditment all around the dispenser opening. RIDICULOUS!!! Now holding on the phone for customer service.......

it is just a pain to clean up, coffee still burns as it is kept heated for hours in its reservior

I've owned several Cuisinart coffee makers, but this is the first one without a carafe! Excellent coffee! Fast brew, hot coffee and coffee stays fresh, no burned taste. Just perfect coffee every time! I can't say enough good things about this Cuisinart coffee maker. Just go buy one, you won't regret it! You will love it! I drink more coffee now than ever, because it's so easy to make more. No messy clean-up because there is no carafe! It even has a light, where the coffee comes out, so you can see how much coffee to pour!

I bought this coffeemaker at a clearance price which I thought was a great deal. It was a different style than what I was used to as it didn't have a carafe. A reservoir held the brewed coffee. The reservoir did not keep the coffee hot. Also, I found I had to use more coffee grounds than usual to get the desired strength of coffee that I liked. I returned it.

Bigger cups do not fit under to pour coffee. Sometimes forget to empty old coffee in the tank and end up with cold coffee. Not very efficient

I'm returning this but thought I'd submit a review in case someone else has the same question I did. (I could not find the answer I needed on Best Buy's reviews). I bought this for the large water tank and carafe less design. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house and only make about 12-16 ounces at a time. I was hoping that the 1-4 cup function this unit has meant that I could fill the tank up with water and choose to brew only 2-4 cups. This way, I wouldn't have to keep filling it each day. Some reviewers on another site said you could do it that way and some said you couldn't. So, I tried it myself. Nope. This unit will brew the amount of coffee that corresponds to the amount of water you put in...unless you manually press stop. I assumed this would be the case but thought I'd try the 1-4 cup function anyway. I was able to turn the unit off once the coffee I wanted was made but obviously I wouldn't be able to do this on a routine basis. So, I'm returning this today. So for me, this isn't the best unit but it is very nice. It is pretty big but easy to use and the coffee was very good. Great warranty too which helps justify its cost. Keep in mind with this type of coffee maker you have to take the basket and the coffee reservoir out to clean them...can be more of a hassle than cleaning just the basket and carafe of a standard maker.

This is the best coffee maker! It's easy to use and clean. The coffee tastes great and just the right temperature.

I purchased this pot almost a year ago at my local Best Buy on sale. I was replacing a similar style but different brand. I had gone thru 3 of those pots over the years and the last 2 didn't keep coffee hot very long. I love being able to fill the water container and not having to dump the water into the back of the machine saving clean up when I missed. This is by far better than the other brand -can't say enough good about it.

So far, this has been exactly what I'd hoped for. I wanted a removable water holding tank that I can easily clean. I can leave the water tank in place and fill it with a pitcher, or remove it and fill it separately. Perfect! Plus the water tank has very clear markings for water levels, and it's see through. It's very easy to see how much water is left while it's brewing. The control features are easy to read and to use. I really like the knob that turns to different settings, rather than a press screen. There are no beeping sounds! Yay! It takes less than 10 minutes to brew a whole 12 cups. I don't need a beep to remind me when the coffee is ready. I like the extra long, 1-4 hours, keep coffee warm feature. The press down lever, that fills the coffee cup, is so easy. The light is definitely a must have. I have hand and elbow pain. Not having to lift and pour a heavy pot is sooo nice! I like the removable drip tray. I can easily fill bigger, taller, coffee containers. The fill spout does not drip. The coffee reservoir level indicator works, but not perfectly. It says about half full when it's closer to 1/4 full. But this is not a big for us. The removable coffee reservoir is easy to clean. The mesh filter holder works fine. We prefer the ease of a paper filter. The most important thing about this coffee maker? The coffee is hot and delicious! Not a hint of plastic taste. Just really great coffee! Easy, fast, delicious! Seeing that some reviews are negative, we purchased the 2 year extended warrantee, for $14.99. If anything goes haywire with the machine, I can skip Cuisinart's warranty drama, and simply return it to Best Buy, for an exchange or a refund. Easy...peasy!

I'm not a coffee expert, I just like my coffee every morning. I would say you have to want this style of maker for a reason. Mine is that my elderly father who is visually impaired lives with me and I don't want him handling a hot carafe of coffee. I had a H.B. brand coffee maker this style for the last year. It was known to have leak issues. I cleaned it regularly but woke up to 12 cups of coffee on counter and floor. The seal broke . I did not know Cuisinart made this style. I purchased it and am impressed by quality over H.B. Far better coffee maker. It is larger than I thought it would be. Cord length is normal, make sure you pull it all the way out of unit. I have no problem sliding coffee maker out from under my cabinets to fill with water and coffee. Also keep in mind this type of coffee maker is a little more difficult to clean. Coffee gauge is nice feature and so far works great. When brewing very little steam comes out. So much steam came out of H.B that I would not put it under my cabinets when brewing. Overall Cuisinart is the best.

I've owned this coffeemaker for two weeks now and have no complaints whatsoever about it's performance. The coffee is brewed quickly, is kept warm and tastes great. This is my first "on demand" coffee maker and it's great not having to worry about the carafe. The LED light in the dispensing area is a nice touch. It would be nice if the power cord was about three inches longer.

This coffee pot, like other Cusinart coffe pots, makes excellent coffee. I like the carafe-free convenience. It looks modern and clean.

This is an awesome product for the coffee enthusiast, the built in water filter seems to help make the coffee taste better.

I first received this coffee maker as a gift 12 or 13 years ago and it was love at first sight. I just purchased my second one and there's nothing I don't like about it. Bit of advice, make sure you clean it once a month (take everything out and soak/hand wash as well as a vinegar cycle for the brewer) and this baby will keep you caffeinated!
