I needed a gift. These were cool looking and cheap (inexpensive cheap because I am a tight wad), so I bought them. Well sort of bought them, I used my best buy rewards, so they didn't cost me a penny, nada, zilch. I didn't try them out, because that would be rude, you wouldn't want a used knife set as a gift would you? I'm cheap, not a jerk. So, the only thing I can say is they look nice and the price was right.

these are nice for the price but will rust so make sure that they are not left in water and completely dried after washing

While there may be some snooty chefs out there who would not use this set, the majority of cooks would enjoy the quality both in use and in cleaning that makes a good experience over the long haul. Even better when it shows up on the Deals of the Day!
