Haven't had it long but we love all the different settings it has. The timed brew works great as well. Also like that we have the option of brewing 14 cups if we ever end up having company over instead of the normal 12 cups.

Cons: Carafe could be made a bit better with the rim so that it empties liquid more easily and completely. CUISINART really needs to put a dimmer on the clock/timer's blue backlight. It's okay during daylight but at nighttime it is way, way too bright. Lights up the whole kitchen at night.

Being able to program the start time so coffee is ready when I get up is a bonus also. I had my last 12 cup Cuisinart for around 8 years, so I'm good for a while in coffee world.

For some reason and I don't know why the coffee just seems to have a better taste than other coffee makers that I've used. Great buy and great price.

It allows you to make your coffee stronger by activating the Bold button. It keeps you coffee fresh for a long period of time. You can adjust the warming tray. A few criticisms, that don't bother me in the least, the coffee is quite hot and the brewing time is longer than most. It also comes with a three year manufacturer warranty.

I am very glad I went with this Cusinart for many reasons. The styling and finish is very attractive for the counter, easy to use, and makes great coffee. If you want your coffee REALLY strong, use the bold setting - it truly intensifies the coffee more than I thought possible!
