Cuisinart 17-pieces knife set disappointing

Not as impressed as I expected to be; blades excellent for cutting some things but surprisingly ineffective on other things. Scissors cannot replace poultry shears. Not best knife set for a serious cook.

Nice matte finish

The steak knives and other knives included are perfect. I will be looking for a bread knife to join the set. That would be the only con to this Cuisinart knife set. Overall though, I am very pleased with the knife set, and it looks very nice on my countertop.
