I feel like a guy who has bought a PlayStation game system. I absolutely love my new addition to the family. Yes, it's that serious. I just want to play with this all the time. I try to find stuff to cook at the last minute. When I discovered I could cook a chicken in 20 minutes....I cooked 2!!! Once you figure out the time frame for each food group, it would be a piece of cake. This item is life changing....really! I don't use my oven/stove hardly anymore, some I store my cooker on one of the burners. I'm still experimenting with the settings, but it's my favorite this far.

The cost was so reasonable I couldn’t pass up this bargain. The food I have been able to prepare has most definitely turned my wife’s opinion on pressure cookers into a positive opinion. I am looking forward toward future experiences in my culinary education. Yummy for our tummy! OMG Hard boiled eggs in 6 minutes! Yes!

Started malfunctioning only 5 months after buying it. It won't let you change the cooking setting...rendering it useless. Checked my account to return it but the status is “No longer returnable” to Best Buy. At this price point, and with all the positive reviews, I expected to get my money's worth. Similar reviews validate that this pressure cooker indeed has an issue with the buttons malfunctioning and becoming unresponsive. Unfortunately, this is the second electronic item I have purchased from best buy this year which has become a waste of money. I will not be making the mistake of buying anything electronic from best buy again. Don't buy this pressure cooker and always read the lowest reviews before purchasing.

I own two of these awesome pressure cookers. I bought another one for my mom. It’s so easy to use and clean. Best part??? It is fool proof! My mom owns an old school style pressure cooker. I don’t like using those because if you don’t set it up correctly or the pressure valve is not on right they can explode on you. I remember when I was a kid and my mother blew one up with split pea soup in it. Thank goodness it happened when she turned away from the stove or she would have been hit by it and badly burned. With the safety shut off this electric version will shut off or not take pressure until it’s right. Cooks quick, I make all kinds of meals and desserts with it. Great for meats too. They last a long time too, my first one is about five years old and it keeps on cooking. It’s dish washer safe but I don’t put it in the dish washer. I hand wash it all, I think this has contributed to its longevity. By the way my mom loves it too, she gave away her old school one. You can walk away from this one with no worries of over cooking or burning. If you don’t have one you need this awesome pressure cooker.

I caught this at a good sale price, but it would be a good value at full price. You just pour in the ingredients, set the pressure and the time, and let it cook. It also has very useful options of sauteing and browning, which avoids having to use a separate skillet. It doesn't have a lot of buttons like some other units, but pressure cooking boils down to [pun intended] pressure (=temperature) and time. Two minor things I wish could be improved: 1. It's a bit tricky to position the pressure limit valve in the right place. Some venting is necessary at the beginning to purge out the air. You'll hear steam blowing out until you learn the correct (non-obvious) place to orient the valve. Once the unit starts cooking, there is very little venting. Better marking on the unit, or an obvious "click" in place would help. 2. The gasket picks up quite an odor from garlic, spices, etc., and the dishwasher doesn't remove it. I keep baking soda in the cooker between uses, which helps. A little geek-speak here re pressure cooking in case anybody else on the planet also finds this interesting! Cooking is basically a lot of complex chemical reactions. There's a very approximate rule of thumb in chemical reactions that a 10°C (18°F) rise in temperature doubles the reaction rate (halves the time). Not precise, more a guesstimate. Higher pressures mean water boils at a higher temperatures, thus faster reactions. At atmospheric pressure water boils at 212°F. At 7 psi it's 233°F. At 15 psi it's 250°F. At each of the two steps, the reaction rate approximately doubles, hence the faster cooking. The pressure holding in moisture also helps in the quality of many foods.

Had been thinking about getting a pressure cooker for probably more than a year and finally committed to purchasing one roughly 2 months ago. I always thought to myself "What exactly would i cook in it?" When it finally came i still didn't know what to use it for so i just started using it for most things: rice, pasta with sauce and meatballs, corn; they all came out great. Rice comes out creamy almost like risotto, that might be because i don't put the correct amount of water but i love when it comes out like this. Also attempted making things that i have hated making in the oven in the past. Pot roast takes 4+ hours and i have never been able to make ribs tender even having them in the oven over 8 hours i just gave up on them. This makes the meat fall apart in only 30 minutes it's amazing! Also used it to make soups. Has a great feature so you can brown/sauté so you don't have to use the stove to brown meat before hand or sauté veggies. I chose this model mostly because it was one of the highest rated on Amazon, Best Buy priced matched them for me so that is why i ultimately purchased from them :)

There are several of these pressure cookers on the market but I have to say that I love this one. A lot of people recommend the InstantPot but I didn't like that it didn't have a non-stick interior. I saw a few youtube videos where people tried to brown something in the InstantPot first but it just stuck to the bottom. They played it off like it was no big deal but oh man, that's a deal breaker for me. Enter this beautiful piece of kitchen hardware. Skin-on chicken browned perfectly, beef and pork browned perfectly, I just can't say enough about how important that is. Of course the cooking is fantastic too. It's so quiet compared to my old stovetop model and it actually couldn't be easier to operate. Pioneer woman has a slow cooker brisket that is delicious but takes 5 to 6 hours in a crock pot. I get the same result in about 45 minutes... Amazing. If it was up to me, I would cook every meal in this thing. You absolutely can't go wrong with this one.

If you remember your grandmother's pressure cooker and all of the good tasting food that came from it, you will love this. It's easy and quick plus I'm not afraid of that bobble on top of the pot. There are many recipes online and I've tried a few with good results. What I like best is that I can cook 4 lbs of sweet potatoes in 7 minutes.

Often we are all consumed with other task and errands that steals us away from the who matter most, family and friends. This item will definitely help you gain some of that time back in the Kitchen. First time I used it I put a whole chicken. Browned the outside with the bird after seasoning thoroughly. Threw in baby red skins and carrots raw...28min after starting the high pressure. That birds was done! I love this pressure cooker. The only drawback I have with this cooker is the pressure release time. Some entrées will require the pressure to naturally release. It takes forever (exaggeration), but it's longer than I want to wait after hearing the beep and smelling the goodness within throughout my kitchen. Regardless, clean up is a breeze and if you truly can't wait for the natural pressure release, turn the pressure dial to quick release but know you stand a chance of ruining your meat. Impatiently, I've tried to release the pressure slowly and my bird still came out juicy. Be careful with the release, too much at one time and you might burn your fingers. Top won't open while pressurized of course. Happy eating. Very simple and straight forward to use, I just have to get better knowing how much water to add and make sure you have a pair of tongues to get your bird out, because it will fall apart easily with the wrong gear trying to remove it. My 7 year old like anything that comes from this thing!

I have had this now for 2 years an it’s wonderful. All the negative reviews that I have read are funny ! People say that it’s not holding pressure an that it’s not working correctly. Well if you don’t clean it correctly, the pressure relief valve is 1 . You have to run hot water an soap thru it after you use it because it can stick open after each use . Also the rubber seal on lid needs to be washed well with hot water and soap after each use . I have used ours at least 300 times . I had an issue with it 1 time because it wasn’t cleaned correctly. This pressure cooker is amazing !!! Dinner in minutes !!!

I have used pressure cookers for years. This willbe my first electric. There are cheaper cookers on the market but I trust the Cuidinart brand. The stainless steel houding is attracive so i can set it on my counter top and the fact that I can use my dishwasher for cleanup is always a bonus. Less expensive cuts of meats and veggies never tasted so good

Still questioning myself why I didn't buy this product a long time ago. Its very convenient, only take half an hour or less to make beef stew. I had save a lot of time cooking. I had ditch my slow cooker since I bought this product. Easy to wash and store. You can't go wrong with it, love the warm up setting.

This is one of the best products that I have ever purchased. I use it all the time for everything I cook! The best part is the speed. As a college student I never have enough time to spend cooking. With this I can just throw everything in and it will be ready in no time!
