I love all of my Cuisinart small appliances. I bought this coffee maker to replace the previous Cuisinart coffee maker that lasted 14 years. I had to retire the old one because of a leak. I would be happy to get the same performance and lifespan from this one. So far, I like the addition of the water heater (for instant tea, soups, etc.).

It has all the bells and whistles regarding carafe temperature, shut off time, cleaning, four cup etc. But the best part is the boiling water reservoir. Pour a cup of water in and in about three minutes it's ready to go for tea or soup or whatever. I use it for oatmeal. I like this thing.

Coffee side is great. Hot water takes a long time

We want to get away from our Keurig after reading about the hard to clean tanks. My husband loves the coffee side. He uses the timer to have coffee ready before he gets out of bed. The hot water side does not have a timer and it seems to take a long time to warm up the water. About twice the time as our old Keurig.

I was bit concerned as the Kuerig. i bought her was returned to the store almost immediately last year. This one is just right as they like to brew their own coffee and it is programmable. They use the two cup setting most of the time but love that it can handle more for when they entertain.
