Run far away from this coffee maker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a Bunn, which BB does not carry. First issue that appears is the hot water dispenser. The water tastes funny. Our only way around this is the put water in about 15 min before needed--which defeats the purpose of having hot water available. We still use the microwave for this as it's ready in 2 min. Now for the coffee maker part. We were excited to have a programmable one after 10+ yrs with our bunn. This worked great for about the first month. Then one morning, it wasn't ready. Okay. Set it up again that night, specifically remembering that I hit that button and it glowed blue signalling that it was set for the morning. Next morning, no coffee again. I do the vinegar clean process--like it says in the manual--with the same results the next morning. I start searching the internet about this as the manual is a joke on troubleshooting questions, so is their site (cuisinarts) and find that I am not the only one with the issues for the hot water on demand funny taste. So I decided to write Cuisinart about the issue, explaining right off that I followed their instructions in the manual about the vinegar clean, etc. I get the standard form reply to clean with vinegar. Apparently people don't read the information given. So for giggles, I repeat the vinegar clean process again, with the same results the next morning. By this time I am so totally frustrated with this coffee maker but unwilling to junk it after spending $100 on it. So I unplug it, thinking this will reset the process. This worked for about two weeks and repeated this as needed for the past few months. Now this work-around is not working as I just did this on Tues evening and Thurs morning I wake with no coffee and the blinking red clean light--yes I actually did the vinegar process that night before resetting it again. It makes a decent pot of coffee in about 10 minutes. I think this will be going to a garage sale and I will be replacing with a Bunn. This is too aggravating to deal with on a daily basis.

Expected better from Cuisinart!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning the coffeemaker for only 6 months the timer fails either by not brewing a full cycle or brewing then turning off leaving the owner with warm coffee. The instant hot water is good, but the plastic lid that covers the tank warps up as the water gets hot. Looks bad! This the second Cuisinart coffeemaker with the same issue. Will not buy another Cuisinart product.

Own One / Giving As A Gift
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've enjoyed the same coffee pot for 2 years. Gifting something that has worked for you is the best review. Dependable hot coffee every time. Features for programing to customize for your desires. Excellent choice in coffee makers.

Really like this coffee maker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this coffee maker mainly because it makes coffee and hot water for tea, which I drink more than coffee. It is easy to use and I like that it filters your water.

Cuisinart - 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker - Blac
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product makes good coffee but will literally die on you in 2 years. I have had a Mr Coffee coffee maker for 10 years now and only paid $10 for it. I spend over $90 for this and it dies.

Great coffee maker for short amount of time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this coffee maker in part because of the great ratings it received. The next day I had to return it for a new one because of a leaking problem. The replacement coffee maker worked great for 2 years, then one morning it wouln't turn on. Although I bought the 2 year protection plan, the coffee maker outlived the protection plan by a couple of months. I guess that shouldn't have been a surprise. This machine makes great coffee, but a $100 coffee maker should last more than 2 years. Not a good value at all!

Does not last, Warranty a joke
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second coffee maker of the same model. The first one leaked after about 18 months. I had moved and had no receipt and after contacting Cusinart was told there was nothing they could do without it, so I bought another one. But the second one failed with the same defect is aproximately the same time ( a year and a half). This time I do have the receipt (bought it here on BB), but Cusinart will not reply to inquiries via email, and calling is useless because their attendants are always talking to "other customers". Decided to replace all my small appliances and none will EVER be Cuisinart again.

Single serve coffee
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The single 1-4 button selection is a joke my impression was this would only allow 1-4 cups of coffee to be dispensed not matter if the water reservoir was full or to the 4 cup max. As a matter of fact the instructions do not clarify that for this option to work you have to add the max of 1- 4 cups of water only no more! This is a ridicules feature the single serve button is useless! I know how to add 4 cups of water! and get the results of 1-4 cups of coffee without using the useless 1-4 button feature! This is a definite design flaw.

Worked for 3 months then stopped brewing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it in July, not working by October. C'mon people, Cuisineart prices should mean better quality. So far, Customer Support line for Best Buy isn't working either --- endlessly hangs up on me after making me wait in line. Next step -- call Cuisineart directly --- but they're not open till Monday!

The hot water feature is great, but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you pour the water into the coffee maker, mine would pour right back out on to the heating device and leave a huge mess for me to clean up before I could even turn on the machine to perk. I took it back.
