However, some users find the grinder difficult to clean and maintain, citing challenges with its design and the need for frequent disassembly. It was great while it lasted.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffeemaker stopped functioning after 6 or 7 months. The grinder is messy, loud, and collects moisture. During the time it was functioning it did brew a very good cup of coffe using the 2-4 cup setting as it is a slower brew. The thermal carafe does a great job of keeping coffee hot.

Great looking, but not easy to pour
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You have to turn the carafe completey upside down to get the last cup of coffee. Bad carafe design.

High Expactations-Poor Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a gift and since first use the coffee maker does not finish its cycle leaving more than 3 cups of water in the reservoir. there is a locking mechanism on the edge of the grinder if this is not pressed/activated the machine does not finish the cycle leaving the water in the reservoir in order to have the machine work properly you either have to hold the top part down until the coffee is done or put a heavy item in to to hold the lid on its place, but be careful because the vibration of the grinder make the item placed on top fell down. for the amount of money it cost I expected a fault free design.

ok coffee maker if you don't need more than 6 cups
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The grinder is small so if you like medium strong coffee, you need to fill it with beans and that will only make enough for 6 cups at a time, not 8-10 like they say. It must be cleaned(grinder cup) after each use, no exceptions or coffee gets stuck and your coffee in undrinkable.

Terrible. Threw it away in month one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a horrible experience with this thing. In the course of a month it didn't make a single pot of coffee I could drink and it managed to flood my office five times. The machine never fully wet the grounds so coffee was too thin. The gold filter included within left lots of grinds in the coffee. In Cuisinart's defense I never did call their tech support or even try to return it to Best Buy. Maybe the unit was defective. Maybe not. After wasting hours trying to make a single pot of coffee I simply pitched it in the trash and walked away. I don't have time to deal with a return process. Just not worth it for something that is supposed to be simple and enjoyable.

I wish it were better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The coffee just comes out weak, even with less water. There is also no way to reheat the coffee, a feature I use a lot. It is very hard to fill the water using the carafe. But the worst parts are the grinder and the Carafe itself. I like the steel carafe, it keep the coffee warm for a long time. but you cannot poor out all the coffee. You just cant get the last 1/2 cup out. The grinder pulverizes the beans to duct, yet misses some entirely. The entire POINT of fresh ground coffee is the proper grind, and this just fails. I like the idea, but cannot recommend this if you actually LIKE cofee

Too Much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are too many parts with this coffee maker. I spend most of my time cleaning everything. I would suggest, grind your beans separate and then make the coffee.

Hard to clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a gift and when we used it, it was extremely tedious to clean. Like other reviewers have said the grinding chamber has a lot of moisture after brewing. The coffee also ended up with bits of grounds. We ended up returning and buying a coffee pot and coffee grinder seperately. Cheaper and more effective.

Don’t waste your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually I would rave about Cuisinart products, but this one is really a letdown. The grinder is inconsistant leavinf half beans and half dust. You are better off getting a non intergrated coffee maker for a better cup of Joe. Thought this would expedite my morning routine, but went back to my tried and true french press.

Good coffee maker. Bad Grinder
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did really like this coffee maker. I particularly wanted the stainless steel carafe. Its thermal and keeps coffee worm for some time with out that warmer plate that always burns your coffee and gives it a bitter taste. I think I had a pot on my desk for four hours or more and still poring coffee at a good temp. I did not how ever like the grinder portion of it. I like to grind my own coffee because of flavor. I thought this was a good idea. The downside is that the grinder gets all wet and steamy in there because it is right above the filter where the coffee is. It gets all steamy in there and every bit of grounds left in there gets caked on to the sides and top and everywhere. If there were a better way to separate the grinder from the percolator this function may work well but until then I will get the model that is the maker with thermal carafe and have my grinder separate.

Very hard to use it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleaning is too hard. Grinder part is all humid and ground coffee is stuck on all parts, so too hard to clean. Too much difficult to maintain.

Grinder lasted only 2 months - 3 times!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing this review as a courtesy and complaint in the quality of this particular product and my dissatisfaction in it. Let me start by saying that for the better part of the past 15-20 years I have used only Cuisinart Coffee Makers in my home and office. My reasoning was that, although they are far from being the cheapest available when comparing features, the quality of the product and the longevity of it made the choice to purchase this product worthwhile. However, at the beginning of this year (Jan 2, 2015) the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Coffee Maker that I had been using in my home refused to grind any more. Inconvenient for a couple of days but I decided that it had more than paid for itself and I would replace it with the same model. As it turned out, that model was no longer available but the model replacing it, I thought, would be fine. The $130+ cost was startling but if it lasted as long as the previous one and was as reliable then I was willing to make the purchase. I was wrong!! As of this writing, I have the … Cuisinart - Grind & Brew 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker – Multi • Model: Dgb-650bc • SKU: 9360899 …sitting in my car to be returned to the store at the end of my workday today. That is only part of the story. This is the third time this year. So, about 2 months use of a $130+ High End coffee maker is what I have learned to expect. That really is unacceptable. What has happened to the workmanship of this product? Each time the symptom is the same…the grinder just quits working and will not recover. If I want to brew coffee that was ground last week or last month or even, God forbid, last year, I can do it in a much cheaper coffee maker and I won’t need the grinder at all. That is not what I want. I want the luxury and pleasure of fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee in my home, every morning before I leave to start my day where that desired cup of coffee is not waiting for me. Your product claims that it will give me that for just a little higher cost than the other guys. I’m sorry, but that is no longer true in my mind and I am very disappointed.

Not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of those seems-to-be-too-good-to-be-true situations. First of all, if you're using the grinder--it's downright terrible. There isn't enough space in the grinder to get a decent brew if you're using the full capacity of the machine, which is 12 cups, I believe. Then, after about a year of using this machine, it wouldn't brew properly. Part of it was that the cheap plastic top had warped and it woudln't work unless it was completely shut, so I started placing heavy objects on top. But then it stopped working altogether, acting like it was brewing when it didn't brew at all. Don't waste your money. Get a simple automatic machine, well made, and a coffee grinder and do it separate. Cuisinart is a good brand for most things, but i'm skeptical of buying one of their coffee machines again. For $140--not worth it.
