Being able to program the start time so coffee is ready when I get up is a bonus also. I had my last 12 cup Cuisinart for around 8 years, so I'm good for a while in coffee world.

Great coffee maker!

Haven't had it long but we love all the different settings it has. The timed brew works great as well. Also like that we have the option of brewing 14 cups if we ever end up having company over instead of the normal 12 cups.

I Like It A lot But It's Not Perfect!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: It brews good tasting coffee quite sufficiently, doesn't take up a lot of counter space, has a multi temperature control that works (I like my coffee hot) and I find the unit is pretty pretty easy to clean. Cons: Carafe could be made a bit better with the rim so that it empties liquid more easily and completely. CUISINART really needs to put a dimmer on the clock/timer's blue backlight. It's okay during daylight but at nighttime it is way, way too bright. Lights up the whole kitchen at night.

For some reason and I don't know why the coffee just seems to have a better taste than other coffee makers that I've used. Great buy and great price.

My favorite feature is the ability to switch off the finishing tone, which means I can brew coffee so the out waking anyone up. It also makes small batches well.
