I was excited to receive this today and this is the first refurbished unit I have purchased. I was aware that it won't be new, but it should at least come with all the parts that a new one would have. I was surprised to discover that the gold tone filter is NOT included with this as a refurbished unit. They even put a sticker on the user manual that says "no gold tone filter included." I wish that disclaimer was on the Best Buy description of the product on their Web site, because it says there that it is included. I will be taking this back to the store to get my "credit" that the receipt says I can get. Unfortunately no refund is available, only a credit or exchange for a refurbished unit. I definitely wont be making a refurbished purchase again. Beyond that, I was very disappointed in the design of the lid on the carafe. Instead of an easy hinged lid, you have to snap this lid on and off for this model. It is is very difficult to do because the plastic tabs are so small. Also, no one hand operation is possible to fill it with water or rinse it out with this difficult design. There's no use in getting flustered in the morning trying to get your coffee.
