Works beautifully! I like the that the blade is secured by the lid. Care needs to be taken with the pusher of the feeding tube - it does not lock. Overall though, very pleased with the purchase

I had a great Braun food processor for years, the plastic parts started breaking and there were no replacement parts available, so I bought this--and am disappointed. It is sturdy, but has only 2 speeds-supposedly low and high, but they are very high, and hypersonic-have to watch this beast closely to not puree everything. Also doesn't come with a case or holder for the 2 razor sharp slicer discs. Meh.

Received this unit about mid August, but finally used today; unit did not work. I called Cuisinart to trouble shoot, and of course I could not get the dang lid off- literally took me about 10 minutes. We figured out that the motor works, but the bowl is defective due to the spring not connecting. The CSR informed me that I will be getting a new bowl as a one time courtesy!! I've never used it before, and it is a courtesy to fix faulty equipment?!? Anyway, it takes 7-10 business days, so I will update on the machine when it gets here. I am bummed that this kind of language was used, and am bummed because I was excited I had time today to check this machine out. Murphy's Law I guess.

There are other machines ( even blenders) that are $149.00 and 1500 watts with blender and food processor attachments .. so much nicer and quicker and it uses all the pulp in the juice

I have no complaints with the overall performance of the unit, however, the durability seems to be an issue. I used it first to make peanut butter, then to shred cheese and when separating it from the base, the handle snapped off. I called to file a warranty claim seeing as I just bought this item 10 days ago, and was informed but the very unhelpful associate, that I would have to send the broken mixing bowl back (at my own expense) before they would issue me a replacement. Needless to say, I will be returning this to Best Buy, and NEVER using cuisinart products again.

I bought this item at the Garner store and it was the only box left. The bottom of the box was bashed up but I bought it anyway. I asked if I could check item first but the the staff said it would be hard to put it back in the box. Anyway, I opened the box today and was upset that the lid wouldn't lock because part of it had broken off. It was obvious that it was a return. Very upset and disappointed that Best Buy would put a defective item back on the shelf. Returning it for refund.
