This is not heavy duty, but it works if you have a smaller job to do. You cannot use this for long periods of time or it gets hot, hot, hot and can damage the unit.

Our previous Cuisinart Hand Blender died. The button to take the blades out froze. My wife like the old unit so much that she insisted that I purchase the exact same mode. However, over the few years, Cuisinart added a button on top. It only works if you hold the button which is a pain. She fights with it all the time and now wants me to throw it away and then purchase something different from another manufacturer.

The Maytag dryer was delivered and did not work

Best Buy delivered my Maytag washer and dryer and the delivery person just turned it on and left. The dryer turned on but did not dry. We discovered this the first day and as of now (4 weeks later) we are still waiting for Best Buy to help replace the defective dryer with a new one. Advice to all…….make sure the washer and dryer are fully functional before the delivery person leaves!!! the alternative is to wait weeks to months for the repair to be completed.

Blender is easy to use and easy to clean. Detaching and reattaching blade portion is solid. Motor is not too loud but is strong.

This is my must have kitchen accessory! I use this to blend up homemade salsa, spaghetti sauce, soup, smoothies, salad dressing, refried beans, puree fruit etc, etc.....I love this tool and can't see my life without it! Also, the latest model has a lock button on the top to help prevent accidents, as the blade is super sharp. Use with caution around small children. The smart stick is extremely durable and easy to clean. Highly recommend!

Solid blender but a bit clumsy to use

Bought to replace a broken blender. This one works, it's basic, though it's a bit clumsy to use as it requires both hands to power it on, thus making it difficult to maneuver at the same time. The price, however, was unbeatable.

    Operation nearly useless

Don’t get me wrong, this is a great quality product. However, the discovery of the safety switch made the process of operation incredibly strenuous and inefficient. It was baffling trying to understand how to use this button since the instruction manual didn’t explain its conjunction with the rest of the unit (press and hold safety switch then press selected speed switch. Safety switch locks in place as long as you keep that finger on the speed trigger.) Safety is important. But the placement of this safety switch, on top, requires your second hand to press it down. The only convenient way of using this unit is to have the ingredients (to be blended) in a heavy bowl mounted to the table or grow a third limb.
