New CyberPower has given no false alarms as yet.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After about 15 months it's now failed to switch to battery upon power failure and immediately powered off 3 times. When purchased new I tested it 2-3 times to ensure it would function, that the wattage was okay and to see it's estimated runtime. The first time it failed I thought maybe it was overloaded even though it had right at 400W connected to it. I had added a couple HDDs to my media server since first testing it and maybe that 16-30W pushed it over the edge. I bought a second UPS (1500VA) to distribute the load and also put a more critical piece of equipment on a new UPS because I didn't trust the old one now. After removing a media server the total load is about 230W and it has failed the same way twice. It doesn't even try to stay on long enough to log the event in it's software on Windows. Battery percentage show 100% and no other indication of issues. I'll probably do some load testing when I have a device to replace it with. Once I have a second replacement I'll check the serial number and if there is any chance if warranty. When functioning I would rate this a good value I'll leave that star rating as if it functioned. Maybe I got a dud but for the purpose they serve, that should be incredibly rare.
