Battery back up needed because my others went out.

Ive owned three of prior Cyber Power UPS Battery backups. Each one has served me well. Including the one prior to this which saved my system from a rather nasty power spike.

I purchased this UPS for my desktop PC. It didn't work out of the box. The instructions say to charge it for 8 hours before use. You can't even plugin your PC during this time as it won't give any power. After doing this, the unit still refused to turn on. It simply didn't work. I contacted the vendor and they refused to help me and even insulted me in the response. They thought I was too dumb to read the instructions about charging it for 8 hours. I've never seen a UPS that didn't allow components to work (even without battery backup) during the initial period. This is a terrible design. After wasting time with the vendor and trying everything to get it to work, even opening up the panel to make sure the battery was connected correctly, it was unable to work. I returned it to best buy and they were great at helping me with the return. Best Buy gets 5 starts for how they handled this and CyberPower gets 1 star for their rude support representative. As for my knowledge, I have purchased many UPS units and even have a cyberpower rack mount unit in my basement which I've replaced batteries on. I have used their server grade and consumer products as well as other brands. I've got decades of experience using a UPS including personal and IT use. I've only once encountered a worse response from support at a company. I will be replacing and avoiding cyberpower products as they fail going forward. I recommend you do the same.

Works well. Just wish it would not alarm when the power goes out. Supposed to be able to turn it off but when you have cat help it does not stay that way.
