Just bought this 9 months ago and didn't protect against its first power surge. PS5 no longer powers on. Vizio TV with 4 HDMI ports, Xbox Series X and DirecTV box all had their HDMI ports fried. Have to get everything repaired. The Surge Protector still works though but they apparently don't cover lightning damage with this equipment warranty. Even though it's supposed to protect against these kinds of things. Our modem/router stopped working correctly but powered on although that was connected to a different surge protector. Only other things in the house affected were the HDMI ports on a 14 year old TV and an older DirecTV box that were plugged directly into outlets. Standard power strips seemed to handle it better than this Cyberpower unit. Used the Battery Backup once a while back when the power was out which was a nice feature but obviously not important if this thing can't protect against surges. Electronics were all plugged into the best outlets on the surge protector and the only things on at the time were the TV, DirecTV box and Soundbar, which still works fine even though that was connected HDMI. Game consoles were completely off and not in rest mode. Eco Mode saves some power but the blinking green light is annoying if used in a bedroom, had to put something small over it. Would recommendation checking out other brands.

    Non-Replaceable Battery

CyberPower UPS's have been notoriously unreliable (some lasting only 2-3 months), but they are much cheaper than APC, so I keep buying them. We'll see how this one goes. However, I decided to get a replacement battery for the last unit, and while I was at it, checked for this unit, and found out that this unit's battery is not serviceable. No "green" corporate ethics here!

I liked the specs and form factor of this unit, but it was noisy. It sounded like an industrial transformer. It was too loud for my residential setting.

Use: (Back Up for UNraid Server / Netgear Router / Arlo) Load: (210w at idle / 450w full load) Managment: (USB/UNraid) Does it work: (NO) (Unit turns off, crashing all connected devices and alarm sounds every time the power fluctuates, despite being well within operating parameters.) Conclusion: (UPS performance capability statistics are probably optimistic at best. "Consumer Grade") I will probably attempt to use this on much lower power devices.

I had some initial problems with the product but once I installed the widget it seemed to straighten right out. There are some minor problems with windows 8.1 but really what product doesn't have problems with windows 8 or 8.1. If the computer goes to sleep itself it may not refresh the screen in eco mode or even trigger eco mode. It is weird I have a ticket in with the manufacturer but you need a battery backup, on any pc product. This is reasonably priced and straightforward.

I use this device with my secondary entertainment setup (32" Flat Panel TV, WiFi Blu-Ray, Wireless Network Bridge, Receiver, Streaming Media Player, Sub-woofer). As with a similar review I wrote for the LX1325, we probably oversized capacity for the application, but I couldn't be more pleased with the performance. We've had 13 power events in the past two weeks and this has held up really well. I have a roving laptop I used to configure via USB, then forget it (shut off the screaming alarms, I don't need a machine to yell at me to figure out the power has gone down). The LCD panel is handy, and 510 watts has been plenty (we rarely top 200 watts utilization with this device). At the price I paid $76.99 delivered to store, I can't find anything that touches this in terms of capacity/quality. The real test will be the test of time, but so far so very good.

    Power Surge Issue

Have had this unit in my living room for under 3 years and recently had a power surge in the middle of the night. Now every outlet that is surge and battery backup is blown and not functional.

Hello, Lead acid batteries have an average life of 3-5 years so it seems the internal batteries may be weak. The battery outlets are dependent on the battery. This unit comes with a 3 year warranty, however, so If you are within the warranty period, please reach out to our support team at 877-297-6937 and we'd be happy to assist. We hope to hear from you!
