The CyberPower LX1500GU3 is easy to use and ads a great piece of mind for the protection of your home electronics. Set up is very simple. Pretty much take it out of the box and plug it in. Plug your devices into it and you are up and running. You do need to let it charge for at least 8 hours to make sure the battery is at full capacity before you are getting full protection. I love the front color screen. Toggling between the different screens for different information is as simple as hitting the display button. Input volts, output information, battery status and percentage of load among other things are all there and easy to understand. Also, the same information (and even a bit more) is available with the "PowerPanel Personal" app that you can download. In order to use this, you will need to connect the UPS to your computer with the included cable. It is a very simple and easy to use app. Aside from the ten household inputs on the back, you also have a USB & USB-C output on the front. Very handy. Not to mention the standard connections on the back for coaxial cables & Ethernet to protect your data lines. Two days after I hooked this up, we had a brief power outage due to a thunderstorm. It didn't last long enough to see how long the battery would last, but it was enough to confirm the unit works as promised. As with any battery UPS, this is a heavy box. It feels well made. If I have a complaint (and this pretty much goes for all battery UPS units) it's that they just don't space the outlets far enough apart. If you use a power brick of some kind (or more importantly, several bricks) it is next to impossible to keep all the outlets available. And lets face it, many computers & printers use these. As it stands, I have everything plugged in that I want plugged in. But it's tight. But again, that is a common theme with all of these from any manufacturer so I wouldn't take that as a negative of this particular unit. Overall I am very pleased with the LX1500GU3 and for home use, I would think you would be happy with it as well.

Although I know what this is, I am new to having one. I have always needed a UPS as I use to be a heavy desktop user but I never had one. I am glad to have this UPC protecting certain items in my entertainment center in my living room. I mostly wanted to connect my NUC (my little computer box) and the accompanying large-volumed external hard drive because they stay on 24 hours. I connected my 65" tv and sound bar and sub. When I first took it out of the box, it said to make sure battery is at 100%, so I plugged it in and left. This UPS is nice and small but packs some weight. It is flat out heavy period. You can definitely pick it up and hold it, but if you look at it first and have never lifted it... you will see. Just as pictured, the front of the UPC looks just like that. The power button is up top, the colored LCD display is on the top half. Then there is a "Display" button that allows you to cycle through and choose settings, which will also show on the LCD. Then you've got your two USB ports -- B and C. The back has 10 plugs, only half of which are surge protectors and battery backup. The other 5 are only surge protectors. 5 on the left and 5 on the right. The top plug on each side is set further up to give it space for a power block. Unfortunately, one of my plugs is horizontal, so when I plug it in, it is actually vertical, so it still takes up an extra plug space. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. So I like the fact that there are a bunch of settings that you can adjust to your needs (or leave as defaulted). The accompanying guide tells you what each setting is and how to cycle through the sub settings... all with that one display button. It is simple enough. I especially like that it shows me my power load and battery life. Lastly, the plug is angled, so keep that in mind when you are deciding where to plug it in in your wall. It is a good UPC and I recommend it.
