Good product for four years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buy this product knowing it will have to be replace in about four years. It will only supply power to a medium size electronic for twenty minutes after electrical outage.

Don't Go Home Without It
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a writer. I lived most of my life on deadline. While computers plus email wrought miracles for me, anything that wiped out the computer meant starting from scratch. Every time I muttered and cussed because an electrical storm zapped my work, my partner told me to get a back-up system. At the time they were quite expensive, so I was reluctant to make the purchase. Then one day I had to rewrite an article on Yorkshire Terriers seven times. That did it. I bought one. Best purchase I ever made. Thereafter I had twenty honest minutes to save my work and shut down carefully, so nothing was harmed or lost. I'm happy to report that this unit is better and less expensive than my original purchase. If you have a computer, you need this. If you have a TV, other electrical equipment, or aquaria housing fish you treasure, you need this. Back-ups aren't alluring. They lack glamour. But they're the little black boxes you mustn't overlook. Get the good stuff. Then get a back-up unit to keep it safe.

Not working for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have frequent power blips and this unit does not like them. It will handle one or two, but if a third comes along, unit shuts off completely. Since there would be shipping charges, etc and it is too much trouble to deal with warranty that I will just chalk it up for a loss and look for an APC.

No problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit about a month ago as a replacement for another brand of UPS whose software was not working and whose battery was nearing the end of it's life. This UPS was very reasonably priced. The included software was easy to install and not complicated to set up. There has been one brief power outage at my home since my install and the UPS kept my PC running as promised. Could not ask for more. I would recommend this unit.

Nice battery back up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a failing APC unit we had, Battery technology has come a long way since we bought the APC. This unit is smaller lighter and has more battery than the 10 year old APC and cost about the same as that APC did at that time. This unit has more outlets to plug in bothe back up powered equipment like the CPU and just surge protected outlets for things like the printer than the old unit I had. So non every thing can be plugged in in one place. Nice!

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best part about the cyber power ups/surge protectors is that when the surge protection is used up the plug itself won't work. This way you know that it did its job and it worked perfectly. I have owned 4 of these over the years so far, different models of course and never have I had to replace any of my electronics. I live in an older home so I really need these. Great product believe me spending the 60 to 90 dollars on one of these is a whole lot better than spending 1300 to 2000 on a new computer, TV or anything else you can think of.

Great Backup for Basic Needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this product for a very long time now, it is really a great backup system and comes with useful software to monitor your power usage. I do wish there were more options for when the power went out or the ability to select certain sockets for what i am running on my computer. I do find that i overdraw from the maximum 330 watts when running my GPU at 99% and turning my desk lamp on. This backup unit definitely is useful but maybe not for a gaming enthusiast. The warning sounds can be really annoying and there is an option in the software to turn it off.

Good value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The true test for a UPS backup is whether the battery delivers during a power outage - and I haven't had the opportunity to see this device in action. However, I have other UPS from this manufacturer, and they have performed - with long product life as well. This unit is compact, and the warning beep can be programmed off, a feature of value to me. I recommend it.

simple. works.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the following plugged into the battery protected outlets: budget Dell computer (Windows 7), 21.5" monitor, modem, router. I didn't load the software or use the usb cable. The only power interruptions we get are momentary. The test: some people in these reviews say they test by pulling the plug out of the wall. BAD IDEA! That method leaves to chance which conductor is going to re-connect first -ground? hot? neutral? NONONO. To test, switch the circuit off at the panel. You will not lose the all important ground continuity. This one works just as it should. I do have to laugh however at the telephone line protection (with two outlets, so you can plug in your fax machine!) What a time warp of a design. Maybe handy for DSL but really your phone line (again, what year is this?) should be protected well before the end of the line.
