    A decent product that is hindered by its software implementation. The switch works well, is integrated with HomeKit by the bridge and that is the weak spot.

      Hi there! Thanks for the feedback. Since HomeKit requires a scannable code or printed code on the device to connect to it, as well as your product to be powered on when you scan or enter the code, we decided to put it on the C-Reach. In order for the code not be visible, it would need to be printed somewhere on the switch and We do not want our customers to risk electric shock while trying to scan or find the code. p#

    This dimmer did not work with my LCD light fixture. Check compatibility list before purchasing.

      Hi there! Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your dimmer did not work with your light fixture. Our smart switches are compatible with all LED, incandescent, halogen, and C by GE bulbs as long as they are "dimmable" bulbs. For all compact florescent, florescent, and non-dimmable bulbs, they will function as a normal on/off switch. If your switch is failing to dim your light, it may be possible that your light is non-dimmable. If that is the case, tap on the light in the app, and tap on "Bulb Type" to set your switch to non-dimmable mode.     Really love the smart switch. Works great with our Alexa. Like the styling and that the button lights up. Only downside is that it only comes in white while all our home wall plates are light almond color. Wished I would have gotten one sooner.

    Not really the best makes you use GE smart bulbs if you want to dim the bulbs rather being able to use another manufactures bulbs that are way more value two for one of the GE's and there brighter then the GE. Don't try to use with merkury Bulbs doesn't work.

    Purchased this the day they were available from GE. Worked well for 4 months, then one day it would not connect to my WiFi. I did a restart and multiple resets. My WiFi router is 7 ft away from the switch. I replaced it with another brand of switch.

    Love this smart switch. It works great with Alexa animal also able to use it on my phone app. I am using this switch in my room which is so convenient when I’m in bed. This was a great buy.

    Great switch. Never drops out and works awesome for google and Alexa. Only wish is that there was a hub or something to make it compatible with Siri

      Hey there bbirish! We have a hub that works with Siri called the C-Reach but unfortunately does not work with the switches only the bluetooth lights. -C by GE Support

    This is a good switch as I can turn on and off the white LED indicator LED. The app is good too in that I can group a bunch of switches together.

    It wasn’t until I had it installed before I realize that this is not smart things compatible must connect to Wi-Fi and be on a standalone app would be nice if the documentation had mentioned that!

    A little tricky to set up because you have to use the C by GE app to set up the device first and then go to Google Home and activate it there. Works great

    If you have a room with three switches it turns red and doesn’t work. I have led lights and it is overloading. Tried many rooms and it works great if it is the only switch.

      Hi Tommy, a solid red light is indicative of connection loss. If it is blinking red, that could indicate an overload.     Connecting my lights to Google home has been great. Whenever Best Buy runs a sale, I scoop more of these up. I want them all over my house!

    No so Smart dimmer

    This is just good enough, but is missing some basic functionality. It works fine when you use the physical switch. It works fine when you control it from your phone when on your home network. That is where it ends. The bad. The scheduling feature is missing a key function. When you tell it to turn the lights on at sunset, it keeps the time of sunset for that day in the program. It doesn't adjust the time of sunset for each day. This probably just missing a few lines of code, but it has not been fixed yet. You can't control this from outside your home WiFi unless you buy the bridge.
