We loved seeing the director's cut. The added scenes, especially about the native community, added so much to the movie.Some things that were confusing were clarified and built on.

The movie that garnered 7 Oscars and 2 Golden Globes, including the awards for Best Director for Kevin Costner, tells a timeless story that even James Cameron admits he copied in Avatar.

I have seen this movie several times and wanted to have it in my collection. It is an excellent movie and I recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful look into life on the prairie. Gives a more in depth look into a soldier that sympathized with Native Americans and how the world changed for the people and the environment.

Long before Avatar, there was Dances With Wolves. Avatar is a great flick, don't get me wrong, but the story borrows a little to heavily from Dances With Wolves. This is a must have.

Very good movie showing a union army officer becoming friends and learning the lifestyle and traditions of the Native Americans that live near the High Plains Fort that he is stationed at.

Found this movie in the $5 bin. It came in bluray with a digital copy. I put it on my Vudu account so it is very handy to watch anytime rather than looking through many, many DVDs.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Glad to have it on Blu-Ray in steelbook packaging, and with the extended and theatrical cuts.

This film has been available for many years. If you haven't seen it do yourself a favor. Set aside three hours someday and watch it. One of the best films of the 20th Century.

This movie is just so powerful. It really hits you with how America treated the Native Americans. Kevin Costner is brilliant. It's 4 hours long but it's amazing the whole way through.

I have always enjoyed this movie and wander what it really would have been like to be in a situation like Lt John Dunbar. The extended version gives you more to not only see but also to feel.

Dances with Wolves is an excellent movie to begin with, but seeing the extended edition adds more and fills in some of the story. Watching all 234 minutes is time well spent.

This is such a great movie. It's a real eye opener to how cruel the white man was to the Native Americans. It was well made but spoiler, a wolf dies and it breaks my heart every time

One man's tale of the west and how things happened that aren't usually in the history books. The good and bad on both sides. Extremely immersing to watch. Feels like you are there.
