A classic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Anything by Christopher Nolan is guaranteed to be good and this fits the bill. The first in the Batman trilogy this film truly sets the tone for Bruce Wayne, his origin, and why he's not like other "superheroes". It's dark and gritty but still gives you someone to root for and the facts the effects aren't CGI and misplaced makes it all the better and more enjoyable. A true must-watch!

Amazing Batman series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No doubt that I would recommend the whole series starting with batman begins, then the dark knight, and of course this one. The Dark Knight got a lot of hype because of how good the joker was, but I still don't think Tom Hardy gets as much credit as he deserves for portraying Bane as amazingly as he did, even in the shadows of Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. I am a big Tom Hardy fan, but it's for a reason. Of course Christian Bale as Batman and Michael Caine (favorite!) as Alfred deserve just as much praise. No doubt an amazing finale to an amazing series!

A fitting end to the best Batman saga created
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although "The Dark Knight Rises" may have been not been the ending that some would have expected, it still shines as a great final chapter in the Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy. Tom Hardy gives a defining performance as Bane, and Ann Hathoway makes a wonderfully surprising Catwomen in the largest scale entry of the three. Many have pointed out that the Batman himself doesn't have the screen-time he normally would but this movie still holds up well in today's superhero soaked culture.

So Many great characters in this one....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many great characters in this film that it makes it next to impossible to point to just one standout. Tom Hardy is incredible as (Bane) you could not have found a better person for that role. Gary Oldman as (Chief Gordon), Christian Bale once again as (Batman),Morgan Freeman performs a solid (Lucius Fox) and of course the lovely Anne Hathaway as (Selina Kyle). all in all outstanding cast for an incredible ride in the wonderful world of BATMAN! This 4k is a stand out "must have" for your collection!

Best film in an outstanding trilogy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With getting the Blu-Ray, this was my first time really seeing the movie in all it's awesomeness. I seen an early copy of it, by way of streaming, and that doesn't do any justice for this fine piece of filmography. The character Bane, is simply too awesome for words. I couldn't imagine anyone topping the Joker as the villain in the newer series, but I truly believe Bane did. Overall, the film is as close to perfect as you can find. From beginning to end.

Arguably the best one of the trilogy. Bane!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first saw this movie I didn't like it too much. Over time and having watched it a number of times, I began to love this film. This film in particular had introduced a lot of different Batman characters which I enjoyed. It just is sad there wasn't more films to develop them further in regards to Bane, Catwoman, & Robin.

Great ending to Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dark Knight Rises was the finale to Christopher Nolan's take on the Batman franchise, and it did something that most superhero movies shy away from nowadays: providing closure and concluding the hero's story. The movie was well written, well acted and keeps you engaged throughout its lengthy run time (though I suppose that is the advantage of watching at home: pause whenever you like). Haven't really had a chance to go through the special features yet, but I'm looking forward to it, and I absolutely love the steelbook packaging.

Loved this 4k version of Dark Knight Rises! Loved Nolans vision of the Dark Knight Series and I had to have this 4k version in my collection. Did not disappoint. Beautiful visuals, amazing sound and scenes that are etched in my brain forever and made only better by the 4k upgrade! Love it!!!

Excellent movie
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent movie, Christopher Nolan never fails to deliver a film that feels like an experience the first time you watch it. The story writing is great, as is the score done by the great Hans Zimmer, both combine for a movie only viewable on the biggest screen and with the loudest sound system possible.

A fitting conclusion to the Nolan trilogy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a movie that gets unfairly criticized because it was pretty much impossible to live up to the standard set by Ledger's generational performance in The Dark Knight. However, this is a fitting end to the character that Bale had established over the prior two movies. Nolan's masterful direction and work with industry leading cinematographers makes this a great 4K showpiece.

Reference Quality Sound & Picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Dark Knight Rises after I saw the promotion for $8.00 in movie ticket voucher for the Batman V. Superman film. However, after throwing in the Blu-Ray, it made my plasma tv just seem to come back to life. The dark scenes coupled with action sequences just made for an out of this world experience. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you enjoy the movie in DTS-HD Master after having cycled between that and Dolby Digital on the Toslink. Grab it!

Dark Knight Rises in 4K!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the greatest Batman films ever! Never has this movie looked better! The boost in video quality and sound is a welcome upgrade over the blu-ray. This film especially shines during Imax scenes as the screen is full and ever so detailed! Must own!

Excellent movie. Your basic DVD.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking back on all three Dark Knight movies, I find myself thinking that all three are excellent but different movies. Focus on dialogue vs action, difference in scenery/colors, etc. You've likely seen the movies by now so I shouldn't dwell on that. I love this movie. You're probably wondering about the DVD. Well, it's the movie. From my perspective, that is all I cared about (I'm not much of an "extras" person). It is of good quality. Don't expect a nice booklet with the DVD (remember when those were more the norm [or was I just buying fancy DVDs all the time]?). Overall, well worth it whether you like or don't like the move. If you want to have some extra goodies, buy another version.

An exciting and amazing film.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that "The Dark Knight Rises" was once again one of the greatest Batman films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite Batman films of all-time. I've been a fan of all of the Batman films that were a part of "The Dark Knight" trilogy. I also think that "The Dark Knight Rises" has a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery, drama and suspense including a really great and amazing cast, plot and personal storylines as well.

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This final installment in the dark knight trilogy is a pretty good send off to the franchise. If you enjoyed batman begins, and the storyline of the League of Shadows, you will enjoy this as well. This movie asks the question of what happened to the League after the death of ras al'ghul. In this, batman will be tested to his physical and mental limits, and you will see how he truly "rises". The only thing I didn't like is that the characters and plot can be a little hard to follow, especially if it is the first time you are watching. The film transitions from one big plot point to another before you have had time to digest what was going on. However, it is nothing that can't be fixed with a 2nd or 3rd viewing. Good movie overall.
