Could have lost my car after Best Buy installation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose Best Buy to the install the dash cam based on BB's web page advertising the knowledge of the staff and the confirmation the install would not violate the car warranty. Shortly after the install the warning indicators came on, I could no longer lock the car using the FOB; the Air Con automatically came on when starting the car and the dome light stopped working. Took the car to the dealer and found out the electrical problems were due to an improper install of the dash cam and the install did violate the warranty for the fixing the problems.

Not actually installed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The system booked 1h instead of the 1h30 it would take to install the front and back dash cam. The technician offered to do a partial install (just the front) or an install where it’s just plugged into the dash cam. I refused and rebooked. Then the technician marked the install as complete anyway and is showing in my account as completed. Hopefully they won’t attempt to charge me again when I show up for my rebooking.

Manager and Geek Tech are lazy

I waited one week for my order to come in mail only to be denied service and requested time off work. I was not informed through email to go behind the store instead I checked in at curbside for my product that's when they told me to go in the back I spoke to the manager she was not helpful it wasn't even my fault I just return the product upset. I would not recommend anyone to go to that store 45 minute drive wasted my time.

Very disappointed

You guys broke a part in our vehicle and never even had the decency to reply to us to apologize, let alone repair it. Its been more than 2months. Not a single call. We got it fixed by paying ourselves for the part and installation. Thats what i am going to remember. We came to store twice. Its human to make mistakes and things break. We understand. But lacking common decency to apologize and fix what you broke, thats unacceptable.

He told me it was useless. Told me up fro t the app was horrible. I was totally clueless on how to use the dash cam. I had to call the store the next day. For help and it was the same guy who installed it. Who made me feel as if I was an idiot because I couldn’t access the cam on the app until he saw it for himself. He initially talked over me and didn’t listen to anything I was trying to explain

Geek Squad took a shortcut and now have to re-do

One of the positive leads needs to be on constant +12V and another to a switched +12V. This prevents the battery from draining (when using the Garmin Parking Mode Cable system) which I had purchased. The easy way is to merely put both positive leads to a constant +12V (like an always on cigarette lighter socket). This is what he did, and I could have done that easily. So, my battery died while parked for two days. Got to get it re done. Total hassle.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The when I ask him just to point to me where he installed the hard wire keep on tell under dashboard and he wanted me to take my stuff after he installed the camera without informing me that every thing is working , he is Not professional in dealing with customers , he got an attitude no experience in dealing with customer, not recommended to deal with, he said 75 minutes and it took him almost 2 hours due to keep on working on another car was inside it was Mercedes.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i waited a month for the appointment to get dash camera installed and when i went to the on location in the entire county where they do installs they informed me that salesman should have sold me the install harness (not an expensive item) but since i didn't order it the drive to the installation site, time away from business not to mention having to reschedule when there are no appointments readily available does not speak well for best buy sales staff ;or customer service

Terrible install!!

All the installer managed to do is mess up our ability to start our car. It not only cost us 60.00 to have the front and rear camera installed but it ended up costing us 149.00 to get a new key programmed for our car that we didn’t actually need because it was killing our car from the crappy install!! It was a gift, or we would have NEVER installed it. Oh and the install was supposed to last 1 hour and 15 minutes....it was closer to 3 hours

Either he did not read them or choose to ignore them. The camera is placed in a spot where I can not see the screen at all.

Posted .Congratulations on upgrading your car! Getting a dash cam installed should be an exciting time, so it's discouraging to hear it wasn't installed in a spot that works for you. That is not how we wanted you to feel after your install, but we're glad you came to us for help. Please contact the store that handled this install, so they can schedule for you to come back in and have this redone.

Broke my brand new car while installing dashcam

They passed me to Sedgwick to start a claim. It has been four weeks with no response from Best Buy nor Sedgwick about the repayment of the repairs. It cost $5000 for the repairs after the Technician cut the wrong cable linked to the computer system. I am going to reach out to the media for help.

Wrong people for the job!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek that installed my Dash Cam in August still hasn't gotten it right!! I'm on my third visit. Six more weeks before they can look at it again. I told this guy what needed to be done to begin with. When he screwed that up I contaced the manufacturer who emailed the tech the install information. Again he hooked it up wrong. All he needs to do is to power the unit from a constant power source.

Never again

When I went to bestbuy to complain they told me to call customer service. When i called customer service they told me to go to the store. When i went back to the store they told me the man who installed it isnt there anymore and to bring the bill they'll file insurance.

Worst buying experirence of my life

Nov 26. purchased an installation service & scheduled it for Dec 26. Dec 23. go online to view order details, discover that the service has been marked as 'completed'. Unable to resolve via Chat 35m. Call store wait time 26m, phone finally rings and they immediately hang up. Call 2 to store in progress... 90 minutes invested so far.

Poor Instal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The person that installed my dash cam forgot to use some of the wire holders to keep some hanging wires secure, and the rear camera was so loose from this that it was facing straight up. The back panelling where they fed some wires through the car wasn't put back on right and came off while driving. No point in paying for an install if they aren't going to finish the job or do it right.
