I love the remakes of the classic Planet of the Apes. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was action packed and worth the watch. You watch Cesar struggle with family, friends, enemies, and change. Much like we do in the real world. This film really solidified my love for the new remakes of this series. Plus...there are apes...on horses. Seriously.

It l's great movie ever! The story is captivating and apes were very life like. Love their eyes expressions; it shows all the emotions . The cast played their roll well. Love the reappearance/memories of James Franco! And watching it on Blu-ray makes it look more clear and realistic. I can't wait for the continuation of The Planet of Apes!

I loved the movie - an great example of a sequel being even better than the previous film. We're always happy when we find ourselves discussing the themes and concepts of a movie long after watching it. And the final treat is getting to add this blu ray steelbook to my collection, with a very striking cover, indeed!

I think that "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" was a very inspiring and exciting film and it was also one of my favorite films of all-time. I also think that this film had a lot of entertaining and enjoyable action, mystery, suspense and drama including a really great and amazing cast, plot and storylines as well.

1 of the Greatest sequels/films EVER made! Andy Serkis as Caesar is incredible and owns this film. Toby Kebbell as Koba almost steals the show and is 1 of the great villains in any movie. The humans are good in this movie but you're watching this for the Apes. Who look absolutely stunning and truly realistic.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will surely entertain. As the sequel to the last instalment, we follow Caesar in his new habitat following the human pandemic instigated by the Simian influenza. In a world where the human population is depleted and infrastructure collapsed, society is broken apart and in a fragile state. With stubborn and selfish humans, the fate of humanity does not rest in good hands.

The ape movies just keep getting better and better. The story is solid. Special effect are awesome.The continuing story line from one movie to the next keep me coming back for more. The charters are part of reason and the acting is the other. Very enjoyable.I hope they keep coming out with new films.

my grandsons and I watched this excellent movie. it seemed like we were glued to the tv while watching the movie with a big bowl of popcorn. I'm quite sure there will be a third movie in this set. I was skeptical of this movie at first, but it turned out to be action packed and quite enjoyable, and best buy had the movie on sale!

Far superior to social structure building of the original franchise. Intelligent apes remain animals with alpha roles well established and pack mentality prevailing. Humans attempting to rebuild devastated infrastructure lost after pandemic of simian flu nearly eliminated homo sapiens. Looking forward to continued installments.

I saw this movie in Blu-ray when it came out and had to buy the 4K version. All I can say is WOW!! In my opinion, this movie was better than War, but not by much. The action was plenty and it was visually stunning, especially in 4K with HDR. A must have for action movie fans.

I've enjoyed the second installment of this new Planet of the Apes franchise. It's a good sequel. The story is intriguing enough mixed in with good action sequences. The action sequences are not mindless over the top action. Andy Serkis is amazing in bringing Caeser character to life. I can't wait for the third installment.

Was a fan of the older movie series, and had seen themall several times. A lot older now (68), and was not sure that I would like the new movie? I was wrong, thought it was excellent, great special effects, and better story line (same story) then the first, Only disappointment was that I could not get my wife to watch it.

Good movie, nice steelbook, great price. My only reason for 4/5 stars and not 5 is that the picture makes the steel look matte black with a stark WHITE face. The steel actually has a very muted darker grey face. it's the opposite of white, and that cool contrast in the picture is why it caught my eye. Too bad, Best Buy should really change the picture so they don't trick anybody else.

Having been a fan of the earlier movies, I can see how the studios are trying to make all of this fall together. So far, I would say that they have done a pretty good job. Ceaser has been an excellent lead, and someone for them to focus on. I have enjoyed these new films, and I am looking forward to the next installment.

If you've seen the first of the new apes movies you'll love this one. The story is in this keeps moving forward with it's story from the last one and it's great what they did with this one. I'd say to the people who loves the Planet of the Apes films you need to buy it.

I have never seen the original Planet of the Apes films, but this remake franchise is terrific. How the film makers achieve instilling the audience with a love for Apes over Humans is an amazing feat. I'd recommend this film (and the rest of this trilogy) to anyone who enjoys a great story.

If you liked the original Planet of the Apes movies from years ago, then you'll definitely be a fan of the new and improved versions. The one with Wahlberg was definitely a flop but Rise & Dawn of the Planet of the Apes are terrific films. Can't wait for War for the Planet of the Apes this summer!

I recently rewatched this in preparation for War for the Planet of the Apes, and I had forgotten just how great this sequel is. Andy Serkis again deserves way more accolades for his portrayal of Caesar. If you are watching this in 3d, there is great depth to the image and clarity of colors.

As much as I loved the Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I really enjoyed this 2nd movie more. It takes on where Rise leaves off and continues the struggles of both ape and man. Lots of action, suspense and intrigue. Thought provoking post apocalyptic era and what constitutes humanity.

I think back to my childhood when my parents would watch the Planet of the Apes movies (insert eye roll here). They were so corny and I couldn't even sit through them! You can't even compare the two! The graphics are absolutely amazing! If you haven't watched these movies you are truly missing out!
