This is quite a bit different than the first movie. The first was more cerebral and slow moving, this movie picks up where that left off with a lot more action and less human character development. This movie really focuses on Caesar and a rival ape in his clan and how they impact a nearby and devastated remaining group of human survivors.

The audio and picture quality of this movie is outstanding. The blu-ray is one of the best looking movies I have seen all year. The value of the movie is unbeatable because it comes with a digital copy is convenient for people who are away from the blu-ray.

I liked the 1st of this new series, but liked this one even more. The story is well written and unfolds at a good pace. Technically the scenes are stunning and the 3D is excellent giving depth with none of that cardboard cutout look. Somewhat predictable (4 stars instead of 5), but still done well. Good addition to your 3D library.

Steelbook has fantastic artwork - great matching up with the original Steelbook. Great deal for the price - Awesome movie with a lot of added extras for the fans. Good continuation from the first and great lead up to 3rd movie.

Not only is the movie one of the best of the year but this blu ray is perfect, the slip cover matches my Rise of the Planet of the Apes blu ray and I got it for an amazing price that was only offered at Best Buy.

Dawn is just as good as Rise, if not better. The MetalPak packaging is pretty good, the extras are plentiful and include theatrical trailers. This even includes a digital copy that works with iTunes or UV.

This is one incredible movie. I would argue that it is probably the best movie of 2014 and deserves an Oscar nomination for best picture! The metal-pak packaging and design for this bluray is pretty cool.

I'm glad someone had a steelbook edition of this movie... Though mine was dented, and I didn't notice until I had already opened it =( Good movie though, love the CGI. Hooray for modern technology!

I loved the first movie so when I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I was going to see it! I kind of figured out what was going to happen in this movie based on the first movie though. I mean his name was "Caesar" so I knew he would be betrayed...lol

Sequel to the recent Apes reboot takes that story and richly expands it, in 3d also. Any owner of a 3d tv needs to add this to their collection. You will love it from the first shot.

New takes on old franchise's can be done very well or just plain suck! I think the did a great job with this movie and were they want to take. Not boring and holds your interest.

Enjoyed this movie with the family ! It really showed well on my vt series Panasonic plasma. We recommend it as a family movie with thought provoking conversation possibilities.

The sequel is much much superior to it's predecessor. Great action, great special effects. Andy Serkis can do no wrong, great extras, and great picture and sound, highly recommend

Ten years after a pandemic disease, apes who have survived it are drawn into battle with a group of human survivors. brake out the banana splits and settle down for some fun!!!

Fans of the previous Apes installment will love this one. Gone are the innocent, carefree humans roaming the Earth. Now, apes have a larger slice of the pie and demand respect. Great action sequences, amazing CGI. Highly recommend this one.

This movie is amazing the CGI is impressive amazing, I really enjoyed this movie and was my birthday gift! It was very cheap I got it for 12 DLLs with my birthday's coupon!

Dawn of the planet of the Apes is the sequel and a solid movie. If your looking for laughter this is not the movie for you. It is carefully constructed to give a snapshot into human society and how we treat one another.

After the disappointment of 2001's "Planet of the Apes," many were cautious at "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." "Dawn" is the sequel its predecessor deserved, and gives many high hopes for the franchise's future.
