Dawn is great 2nd chapter in the new Apes series. The Blu-Ray is great but missing are the short promo movies that fill in the gap between Rise and Dawn. They would have been a great extra. With that being said, the disc is still loaded with extras.

I bought this only because it was on sale for only $9.99 and I want to pick up 3D blu-rays before they disappear. I was surprised to find that the film is successful in almost every department and has an above-average application of 3D.

The movie itself is quite good, it develops the characters and advances the plot toward the next movie, all in all an entertaining film. The 3D effects are great, the genral depth is impressive and there are several good pop-outs!

The second 'prequel' in the newest remake of the POTA series. Effects and storyline are top notch. This is a respectable attempt that actually adds to the "smart" story telling of the original set- which I love for its social commentary.

Having along history with the Apes movies - going back the original with Charlton Heston - I was pleased to see that the latest installment was an excellent film. There were great action sequences, a very good story line and the CGI was flawless.

This is a great movie. Don't let the bad omen of a lame reboot direct you away from this series. The producers, writers and directors really struck gold with a gritty smart and creative restart to the planet of the Apes series.

I picked up this Best Buy exclusive MetalPak and really glad I did. The movie itself is fantastic and the 3D is medium strengh but good. Colors are good, not as dark as in the theater. Love having Cesar and Koba both on the MetalPak. Recommended.

The preview film clips actually enticed me when I probably not have considered going to the theater to see it. Interestingly, I enjoyed the plot, the character development, and the action. I also purchased the blu-ray as soon as it was released.

My oldest teases the younger one that this is our future and he better learn to fend for himself. Me on the other hand enjoy the CG and the action. I finally got to show the kids the original Planet of the Ape movies. He liked this one the best.

Like what Nolan did to Batman this reboot of the franchise has to be seen. Apart from the great acting by Gary Oldman, the plot, the turns has truly made this a movie that will have you on the edge of your seat and have you rooting for the apes.

These films, though they're telling a cohesive tale together, are so different, but in a good way. Each one gets better. I can't wait for War for the Planet of the Apes to come out. These films made me a fan of the franchise!

If you liked the Rise of the Planet of the Apes you will enjoy this sequel. The packaging is a very nice steelbook case with the 3D Bluray and Bluray versions of the movie. My only complaint is that the DVD version of the movie is not included.

A fast pace movie with a lot of action a great movie to see in 3-D . The special-effects make this movie this is definitely not a planet of the apes from the 70s

Earthlings. In both the animal kingdom and in humans there exists premeditated murder, (not for food; i.e. dolphins) slavery, (ants) and an abundance of evil. Might the the good overcome it...time will tell. Our planet is surely in peril.

We don't buy our movie unless there is a digital download anymore because we love that you can pretty much watch them anywhere there is an internet connection. There was a lot of extra footage on the digital clips that came with the movie.

Love all the Apes movies. But, this was better than all. Excellent story and characters/acting. The special effects were phenomenal. 3D awesome. Definitely NOT one of those movies you watch and wish you could get 2 hours of your life back!!!

I bought this blue ray DVD at BestBuy's because they matched price I seen it at Walmart but did not have the ad the casher looked it up and I got it cheaper then Walmart recommend BestBuy's to anyone they help you out with any thing you need

The rebooted Planet of the Apes movies are amazing, and this edition of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (which I was able to order online with free shipping) came with movie cash towards War For the Planet of the Apes.

Not a great movie in my opinion but not bad either.

Talk about tugging on your heart strings. This movie portrays human strength and weakness brilliantly. The main character ape demands your love and understanding throughout the movie with 1-2 sentences. This movie gives me goosebumps.
