ended up returning the 4k version due to my lack of 4k knowledge. Only to buy this for 3 times the price of the 4k at black Friday but still a good movie and lesson learned that not all desk help is really help

I loved the whole series of Planet of the Apes. As a youngster I wasn’t a fan, but my husband took me to see this movie and I had to go back and watch the others. I love it... You have to watch it

When I saw the first I was hoping they continue it but when I saw the previews for the second part to me there was a problem.... They did'n bring back the leading actor but I went to the theater to see it any how and I was well plase with this sequel a very good action movie and most important I belive the film.

I grew up with Planet of the Apes and loved all of the shows and movies. These are a complete reboot and not true to the originals but still great movies. Looking forward to the 3rd to add to the collection.

This ape outing was pretty cool: good writing, solid acting, great special effects. They did a good job rendering the 3D, but they set the film in what seems like a dreary rain forest, and dreary dimly lit San Francisco. The dark tones suit the movie, but don't compliment a 3d movie. I would recommend the bluray.

Amazing movie. Andy Serkis at his finest. This sequel outdoes the original movie, ten folds. This movie has a lot of heart and emotion. If you enjoyed the first movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, you will for sure enjoy the sequel.

I thought this was a very good sequel to the original with a good plot. The only thing I didn't like is the typical ending of movies these days with the thought of another sequel...which I will be fine with if it's as good as this one.

I was never really into the Apes movies, so maybe it's not shocking for other people, but I was surprised at how good this movie was. It has a dark tone throughout, and makes me very excited for the next movie.

This new, re-imagined Planet of the Apes movies are wonderful! I love all of them, and I wanted to own this movie. Great extra features, and a entertaining movie to boot.

Swinging in at 2 hours, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a solid mixture of story, character, and action. Things are predictable and there are times when the plot details become tedious; however, as a whole, this picture comes together.

Ceasar was great as a lead character. His human side/no nonsense conundrum plays very well. But the character that really takes this movie to such a high level is Koba. You can't ask more from a villian. This movie has a great story and plenty of action. That's hard to find today with movies that have CGI.

I liked this second film of the new generation of Planet of the Apes Series. The filming is high quality and the story is a good one as well. Using the actor that played Golum in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was a great choice and he plays the part of Caesar the Leader of the Apes. Definitely worth a watch.

Like the review summary says, I really liked the new adaption to a classic movie. The acting is getting better and the story line is really developing into a good one. Can't wait until the next one comes out rumored in 2017!

I'm not a big fan of CGI cause too much makes the film look fake but this movie looks and feels so real and the story works and is very believable. Great acting and love how it's set in the Bayarea not in L.A. And N.Y. all the time.

I love this and the last reboots of Planet of the Apes. The difference in the special affects compared to the original movies is like night and day. Even if you've never seen any of the Planet of the Apes movies, you'll love this!

Finally got to see this movie in 3D and it was amazing. The action was awesome, the acting was spot on and I cant wait to see the new one now that i've seen this. AND i found it at best buy for 10 bucks! WOW!

Enjoyed this movie in 3d. Saw it at theater in 2d but really enjoyed the 3d version at home. Nice effects w/o over doing effects. Very clear on my OLED

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite movies the year it came out. I'm happy to report that Dawn is even better and stunning in 3D on my Sony XBR850C

Most of the remakes today pale in comparison to the originals. I believe the new Planet of the Apes series are leaps and bounds better then the originals. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

This movie is absolutely outstanding. It was great to see how the ape civilization functioned and how the apes had evolved in the 10 years since Rise of the Planet of the Apes story. Great features. Outstanding picture and sound.
