This sequel surpassed the first movie. More action and great casting. The CGI makes you feel the emotions of the apes in their quest to live side by side with humans. Great lead into War.

I had put off watching this movie for a long time. I thought it was going to be tired and the usual bla bla. Thankfully it was not, it is not an oscar winner but it is escapism which is what I want from a movie.

We have enjoyed the other films from the Apes series and this one was no different. Steelbook option (Best Buy exclusive) is awesome and the Blu-Ray/DVD package is as well! We love picking up the 3D version too!

Do not try to critically review these type of films; save your brain and emotions for serious film content, if you can find it these days. It does what it does: visual detail and cinematography, sound, entertainment, that's it. Enjoy it for what it is.

Loved the second movie in this series. Plot was good and followed the story line well. Good special effects also. Set up next movie in a believable way. Looking forward to the next Films release.

This is only my second 3d movie and I must say it was pretty awesome watching it. See the first one prior to watching this for a little bit of a better understanding. (you wont be too left out if you dont though)

A good sequel to the first movie. It was entertaining, but lacking in substance. Even though we already know the apes overthrow the humans, it would have been more entertaining to have it unfold or be told in a unique way. This seemed kind of run of the mill, but still worth seeing.

Always loved the old, original Planet of the Apes movies, was excited to get this latest one. We spent a snowy day having an "apes" marathon. Fun for all, quality is excellent & we will enjoy it many more times.

Planet of the apes was the first movie that we bought and watched on our new 3d TV and bluray Sony systems. The apes were coming at us and everything it was so awesome we really enjoyed watching it as a family.

The movie was very well done, nothing like the previous Planet of the Ape movies, this movie is worth watching. When my wife saw I bought it she said it was a waste but after watching even she said it was good.

Love this reboot of the classic movie series. These new Apes films totally redeem the terrible Tim Burton reboot from earlier in the decade. Great effects, great story, and darn good acting for an action film!

Lived up to the hype! In my opinion sequals usually don't live up to there predecessor. However, this movie exceded the first. Great special effects, story, and acting. Highly recommend, especially on Blu ray.

I loved the first planet of the apes movie. I had no doubt that the second one would be better. This movie was amazing and I recommend everyone to buy it and watch it. Worth every penny!

I liked this movie but to be honest I like the first one more. The film was really good but having to read all the subtitles, and there were lot more than expected, put a damper on it. if there were no kids or pets needing attention then I would probably have liked it a lot more.

I'm a Planet of the Apes fan from the first in the 60's and 70's, to these new re-envisioned versions.....The CGI is excellent and the stories themselves are a par above the originals......"Very Entertaining"

Loved every bit of it. The apes looked so real and Andy Serkis did a bang on job as ceaser. better than the first one. cannot wait for the 3rd one. plus got a good deal on the steelbook.

I love the first movie. The main actor is really really good at making you believe his character and his relationship with Cesear. The graphics are great. Wish I could've made it to the theater for this one.

I've seen and have most all of the Planet of the Apes movies starting with the 1st 5. This was very well done with special effects. They wanted to make it as realistic as possible and I think they succeded.
