nothing like to original storyline
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the story line is so far off the storyline. It's supposed to be the origin of the JLA, instsead focused on war. the story felt incomplete.

Poor stoytelling and characterizations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was sorely disappointed in this animated movie. As a fan of DC Comics for most of my life, I was infuriated by the characterizations of the everyone in this film.

you've seen one justice league movie, you...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....still probably want to watch this one, though, right. Hey at least they're doing a better job at cranking these films out than over in the live-action universe. I'm not sure why (maybe a copyright we'd have to pay more deal) but they always seem to want to re-name the animated feature. It's based on the graphic novel "Justice League: Origin" and should have retained the name. The "War" title really means nothing except possibly a catchy one word title to try and hopefully sell more of this so-so animated feature story. Otherwise, it's not a war any different than most any of the other JL stories. One of the worst choices of this story, however, is changing Captain Marvel's name to his magic word. Is it because they think we'll get confused by Marvel's? The Captain Marvel name was fought for and should be retained. Also, when he says his name "Shazam" to Cyborg, how come he doesn't change back into a kid? (plot holes make me rate things lower). (Note: Sean Astin does a fine job at the helm for the voice.)

Good Origin story for these characters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this Blu-Ray on release date since I am a huge comic book fan and I must say I enjoyed this film a lot. I have seen some criticism from other fans who felt that the voice acting was not to great but I thought everyone involved did a fine job. If I were to complain about this animated film I would say the animation at times could have used a little more work. I also recommend anyone who is a fan of Jim Lee watch the special feature on him that is included on this release as it gives you a good look at his career.

DC has done it again!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just finished watching this movie and I have to say I'm really impressed with how good this movie was. The action scenes were intense (maybe a little too much for young children) and the comedy was well put. Every character had their fair share in the spotlight. I can't wait to see what DC comes out with next

Great Graphic Novel & Movie Combo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must disclose that I am a DC Comics fan and with that said THIS COMBO SET IS AWESOME! The Justice League New 52 Volume One ORIGINS story arc sets the tone for the entire series run. The included movie is good but you can't beat reading the action in a comic book page panel! This combo set is the best of both- comics and movie wise. Overall, I don't regret this purchase even though I already had the comics. Take advantage of this amazing value!

New 52 = Complete Desecration of DC Characters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much like what is being displayed with the new 52 comic line, Justice League War provides a wealth of edgy, dark 2 dimensional characters that attempt to drown the viewer with over compensated action in hopes of forgetting 70 years of character development. Green Lantern is irritating and D'Bag. Shazam neither conveys the wisdom of Solomon nor does he display any power of Zeus. Wonder Woman is witless barbarian, and Superman is simply not Superman. BatMan and Flash are surprisingly in character and Cyborg's take is interesting but not enough to save this animated film. If you're used to the Bruce Timm's level of quality of action, story and character integrity do not bother wasting your time with this one. If' you're new to the genre and latched on to the new 52 character models than you'll be more than thrilled with this pale and hollow rendition of the Justice League.

Great animated adventure but not for young ones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another great DC animated film that doesn't disappoint. I would recommend it for kids 10 or up as some scenes can be a bit graphic for cartoon violence. This new 52 relaunch is a must own see how the new justice league forms and stops Darksides plans to destroy earth.

Awesome adaptation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've read the storyline in Justice League, and I think this movie actually improved on the story by replacing Aquaman with Shazam! Loved the interaction between Shazam and Cyborg!
