First off, this movie is not for kids, hence the R-rating. Not all comic book movies are for the entire family folks (i.e. Watchmen, Sin City, etc). This was a very fun and entertaining comic book movie about the Merc with a Mouth. Marvel was smart to take the leap and make the movie based on fan and Internet reaction. Despite the profanity and gore which some people may get bothered by, I loved the quick quips, 4th wall breaks, and action sequences in the film. I highly recommend Deadpool to any adult Marvel fan. This origin story was a great way to make up for what was all wrong in Deadpool's origin in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I and can't wait for the next one.

This was a pretty fun film. There are a few parts I could live without but overall a good film for adults.

Odds are, if you're reading this, you've already seen Deadpool. If you haven't, and for some reason you thought "Marvel movie - great idea for the kids": STOP. This is an unabashedly R-Rated film, the kind that older kids will watch a sleepovers when they think you're asleep. But, if you accept that inevitability,, YOU can still enjoy Deadpool while they're asleep. Just don't show it to them, unless you're awesome. Or want them to grow up REALLY fast. The Blu-Ray itself is pretty loaded, between the 80 minute "making of", all of the viral content, deleted scenes, gag reel, and two commentaries. Worth every penny, but hide it from the kids. For now.

In the mood for a mindless, fun , profanity laden romp with no bitter aftertaste? Well search no more, this is it! Deadpool rocks from the first frame until the final credits roll............it's a fanboys dream thru and thru: loads of action, merciless gunplay, a uber hot leading lady, language that would make a truck driver blush, a STAN LEE cameo, strippers/hookers aplenty , and oh, did I mention everyone's favorite DEADPOOL? This is the real deal, looking forward to the followup (which the Soska Sisters SHOULD direct) Hey, sell it to your lady as "Starring Ryan Reynolds" and you'll be good to go..........Highly recommended!

Comic book fans likely know the "Merc with the Mouth"and its intentional destruction of the so-called 4th wall separating reality from imagined realms. For those unfamiliar with the "Pool" -- take one highly skilled mercanary, add in an extremely sarcastic wit and self awareness, give him mutant like regenerative powers with a few hideous side effects, and try to make him your _____, its the recipe for one super annoyed and vengeful character. By staying true to the character, the movie seemlessly marries action, comedy, scifi and parody in what I would describe as one of the best live action comic book adaptations ever made.

Is the front cover of the steelbook the best image they could have chosen? Probably not. But when you open it up to find sultry Deadpool lounging on a bearskin rug, does it really matter? Great steelbook for an insanely fun movie. Great glossy finish on the genuine Steelbook brand case. Only complaint is for some reason the title on the spine is upside down compared to basically every other Blu-ray spine ever. Odd little mistake on their end that makes it feel a little weird next to other titles on the shelf, but not a big deal. Still definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of the ol' Merc with a Mouth.

This was the role that Ryan Reynolds was born to play. Ryan Reynolds depiction of Deadpool was dead on to what those of us who have followed the character in the comic books and games have come to expect. The opening credits alone were priceless. The fact that Deadpool constantly referred to the directors and acted as if he was on a film set followed the character to the "T". If your a fan of Marvel movies and are looking for a great family movie to see, Look Somewhere else. If you are like me and love a film full of wise cracks, explosions, and nudity. Get the popcorn ready, open a good can of pop. and have a seat for a great film.

I am not too sure why a lot of people say that the movie is full of gore , nudity and se_x as it is not. This is an X-Men movie that is R rated because it finally gives us a realistic view of what someone who goes through their lives with these powers would do. The childish quips and funny moments give a fresh funny outlook on a series that is usually more serious and politically correct. Overall, if you think this is a cookie cutter Marvel movie you are wrong, this is a movie for adults who have spent the last 15 years watching X-men movies and who grew up watching the cartoons. Do not let your under 16 year old watch this!

Deadpool is everything you want it to be coming from a fan of the comics and other incarnations like video games, animation. It doesn't take anything serious other than the great love story it tells with both Deadpool Ryan Reynolds and his girlfriend played my Morena Bacarin, having great chemistry and making all moments happy an sad feel very real and wen relatable. The action is phenomanal for its budget, the jokes are non stop and fast and the cast is perfect. If you're a comicbook movie fan, this is a must to add to your collection. If you just love movies and want a good laugh, buy this movie. You will not be dissapointed.

I am not a big fan of superhero/comic book movies. As with most of these movies (aside from the Batman films), I had no intention of seeing this movie. Then, somehow (I can't remember how), I got a code to stream it for free. And, while watching a full movie on the computer is not my preferred way of enjoying a movie, this movie held my interest and had me laughing out loud. Enjoyed it so much, I headed right over to Best Buy and bought the Blu Ray to watch it again. This is a superhero/comic book movie for people who don't like superhero/comic book movies. I, for one, am looking forward to a sequel. Hope they don't botch it.

Deadpool is probably the best comic-to-movie adaptation so far. You can tell the director and Ryan Reynolds truly wanted to capture the essence of this character and they did not hold back. Even for those individuals who no nothing about the character Deadpool, this film does a great job of introducing you to him. My only warning is that this film is rated R for a reason. There is a cursing, nudity, and violence (all of the things that make Deadpool awesome) but these are also things that may turn some viewers away. Over all it's got great action, cool and interesting characters, hilarious comedy, and it's just flat out fun.

The steelbook provides a great look on the shelf for a great movie. The bonus stuff is also kinda great!

I had heard really great things about Deadpool, but in reality I wasn't sure how I would feel about it; the comic is so good and I didn't know how it would translate to a film. It was amazing!! One of the best things was the "R" rating - the film would not have been as enjoyable with a "PG". Ryan Reynolds brings life to this iconic comic character and the supporting cast is perfection. The jokes are non-stop; there is on-going "breaking of the fourth wall" which totally adds to the film. Plenty of action scenes. Even the "non-starring" characters - such as the "cab driver" - get their moments. Just an all-around fun film.

I've waited quite a long time for another comic book movie true to the source material. Deadpool was all that and more. Jokes? Yup. Crazy, gratuitous violence? Oh yes. Curses de luxe? You mother f'in' right! This flick was made for adults and for pre-teens waiting for the adults to leave the house. I won't say more about the story, bc I don't want to ruin it for you. But I'll just tell you it's fantastic. The Blu-Ray has lots of extras, the best of which are the out takes. This is a must buy for every comic nerd, Ryan Reynolds fan, and every one else who has waited for a movie not at all geared towards children.

I'm not someone who is into the lore that goes with the Marvel and DC Comics explosion in the theaters. All the jokes are lost on me and they take me out of the enjoyment of the movies. Along comes Deadpool. Yes, it's one of those comic book movies. The difference is that is has a sarcastic take on the whole thing. This fact becomes apparent I the open credits. First movie I recall seeing that has a fourth wall break inside a fourth wall break. This movie is meant for your adults. It looks amazing on 4K HDR. It was the second 4K HDR movie I bought for my new setup and I love it.

While I prefer X-Men Origins version of Deadpool, this version is the way he is in comics.

This is one of the few if any superhero movies not released in 3D. No problem though. This movies will not only have you laughing, but also hooked on the screen when the action starts. Don't know if I would like a sequel since I'm afraid they might mess it up. But this movie is an instant classic. Not for kids though. There's naughtiness and some serious violence. But hey it's rated R. What would you expect. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, 10 out of 10. I absolutely loved it. And in 4K ! Looks absolutely stunning. Just make sure you have your TV set up for 4k content to enjoys this movies colors and scenes best.

I liked the movie. Purchased when it was on sale and it is nice to add to the collection.

Deadpool: The superhero genre movies seem a bit bloated these days and just when you're getting tired of the genre something like this comes along. At first I didn't want to like this movie and avoided it in the theater (probably due to the Green Latern production which just wasn't very cohesive). However, Deadpool really is a good vehicle for Ryan Reynolds wise-cracking acting style and actually breathes some life back into the superhero genre. The only problem is were probably going start seeing a lot more of these type characters. Note to Hollywood: Don't kill the goose that is laying the golden eggs OK!!!

DeadPool accomplished (3) things that seem to be difficult for the franchise's that adapt comic book figures. 1 Make it fun on many levels adults & young people can have a balance on R rated or PG if it's done properly . 2 Stay true to the source material the actual comic! They were very close unlike so many other directors they stayed close & nailed it. 3 R-rated doesn't mean the franchise will lose money especially if the character calls for it & to be perfectly honest I couldn't see it any other way Movie was awesome my wife my son loved it & despite a few scenes we monitor my 4yr old daughter adores this guy
