Reaaly fun and violent movie. R rated fun not for the whole family

A lot of people know who Deadpool is, but for those few that do not. Wade Wilson was a mercenary who found out he had cancer. He goes through a government experiment that granted him an accelerated healing factor. Only catch is, his cancer is forming as fast as his body is healing it, so he is disfigured. He escapes the facility and hunts down the man who experimented on him. Deadpool is also called the Merc with the Mouth because he shuts up. Hilarious movie, I would recommend if you want lots of humor in a comic book movie.

Not being a Ryan Reynolds fan and not being familiar with the comic book initially held me back to watch the movie on opening weekend. However, i was pleasantly surprised about how much I enjoyed this movie. It's politically incorrect, has extreme laugh out loud violent sequences, never let up pacing and jokes that really work. In other words its a no holds barred blast at the movies. The blu-ray HD picture and soundtrack are also top notch. This blu-ray should be on your must have list for the year. Highly Recommended.

This is a superhero movie about a guy that does not want to be a superhero, and they do it in probably the most funny way imaginable. Ryan Reynolds takes his comedic role as Van Wilder and places it into red and black spandex in what becomes Marvel's funniest and most slapstick superhero movie to date. There is a reason this movie became the highest grossing Rated R movie when it was released. This movie is not for kids although it is of the Marvel Universe with lots of adult situations and language.

I used to hate Ryan Reynolds in most of his movies until I saw this one, this has to be one of the funniest superhero movies I have ever seen. It has great dark humor, lots of action, great visual effects and Ryan Reynolds kills it in this role. This is not the typical no blood, PG-13 movie that you are used to see from Marvel, this has gore everywhere and lots and lots of humor. The Blu-ray quality is fantastic and they even replaced the carton cover with a hilarious Holidays picture. Highly recommended movie.

I recently went to an atmos setup. This was my first atmos movie. Excellent picture quality, and outstanding sound. The movie has great action, and is absolutely hilarious! Also my first (and probably last) steelbook. Once you remove the shrink wrap and the little cardboard, you have a steel case with no info or anything. I thought maybe it would have a booklet or something. Still gave 5 stars, including 0 stars for steelbook.

Deadpool is the character Ryan Reynolds was meant to play. He's perfect for the role with his comedic skills and persona. But this is NOT your typical superhero movie. This movie was geared towards a more mature and adult audience, as it features nudity, and a plethora of adult language and violence (hello!? It's rated R). Someone who is sensitive to these things or doesn't want their children exposed to it should stear clear. If you're not offended by these things, than grab your favorite popcorn, kick back, and enjoy!

Very entertaining hilarious movie loved it have watched it several times

A great movie for those old enough to hear it! Plot is solid, but predicable ... which is fine when it is done well. Which I feel this movie is. Ryan R. Owns the character and put 110% in to playing it spot on to Character. I love the music it uses for contrast to the more driven sound track elsewhere in the film. Best thing about it is it is so true to the source material! Which is Awesome and appreciated. Quite a good amount of special features with useful info on the movie. And a crazy amount of promotional material ... There is alot of cursing.... but it comes with the Character... like coffee....is associated with hot....which can burn you if you don't respect it. This movie deserves respect too. Know what your getting into. Dont buy it for a child.....unless you want them cursing like a sailor. If you do... this will help them with the fundamentals. In closing. A fun movie that takes you out of your life for a couple hours of adult fun!

And funny to boot. Package arrived in well protected package and movie is functional. As for the movie, please don't buy if you have kids. Its R-Rated for a reason people. Just because it's a comic book movie, don't automatically assume it's kid friendly. Anyways, on that note, just gotta say how I loved it so much when it was released in theaters, happened to see it 3 times, I knew I had to get it. So this bad boy was a Thanksgiving present and it's crazy fun. Define try would recommend others to buy.

I find it hard to believe that anyone is reading reviews, but you never know. Here is the deal. If you know who deadpool is, you probably saw this in the theater. So you know the movie is great. The extras are good too. Funny gag reel. Wish there were more extras. I imagine a "deluxe" edition will pop up around Christmas. If you DON'T know about Deadpool do some research. The movie is hilarious to the fans, but if you are not a fan of sarcasm, violence, crude humor, and profanity..... This certainly isn't for you.

The original Deadpool movie surpassed my expectations. Foul and raunchy but so very funny and well developed. Ryan R. was born to be Deadpool. The 4k version can't be beat. My family loves this movie though this is definitely not for a younger audience (much like Logan, which also was an outstanding Marvel R-rated movie). We enjoyed having the 4k version released at a good price timed with the release of the 2nd movie. Great for Marvel fans who are out of middle school.

In my opinion this is the best superhero movie since the Dark Knight. It stays true to the comic book source material and the character. But it's vulgar, bloody, and definitely for mature audiences only. Several parents I know got duped into taking their kids to see it thinking it was the next captain America or something (oops). Dead pool is like the anti-captain America. This movie is entertaining from start to finish and as long as you're not offended by vulgarities and some shock value humor, you'll enjoy it.

I knew nothing about this movie, but I read a couple of good reviews and decided to buy the movie. The movie was full of action but it was super funny at the same time. Ryan Reynolds did an excellent job and his humor was right on. But, this movie is not for kids, or adults who get offended easily. A lot of bad words and se*ual connotations (It won't let me type the actual word). As for the movie itself, I bought the Steel Book edition to add to my collection. The sound was excellent, in DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1.

After 3 unsuccessful attempts to star in a comic book franchise, Ryan Reynolds finally struck gold with Deadpool, a genre bending absurd comedy action film with balls and teeth to boot. The humor is on point for the character and Reynolds gives a career defining performance. But the real heroes are writers Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick who's humor style as comedic writers fit Deadpool perfectly. The blu-Ray also has lots of great bonus features including the hilarious "Deadpool's fun sack". Highly recommended.

I'd already seen the movie in the theaters, so I was looking forward to its release on Blu-Ray so that I could access the bonus features and digital copy. I am not a huge fan of superhero movies, but Deadpool is MY kind of superhero! It's funny with great action. I can't picture anyone else but Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool either. I also love how they stray from the PG-13 rating that many superhero movies tend to have. If you haven't seen this yet, keep in mind that this is NOT a family-friendly movie.

This movie was great and for the mothers who are saying that they expected better from a superhero movie for little Timmy to see you are wrong. If you brought your kids and never questioned "Oh why are they pushing people to see their IDs?" Then it is kinda your fault for not checking into the movie more. Deadpool is not for kids, the internet and many ads clearly stated that, before you buy this movie or see it in theaters be aware of this. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS. LITTLE TIMMY DOESN'T NEED TO SEE THIS!

If you are easily offended, abhor bad language, nudity, and violence in movies, then Deadpool is not for you. If you are even remotely familiar with his comic-book counterpart, and enjoy his antics on the page, then this movie is spot-on perfect. The tone, pacing, acting, story, everything (including the opening/closing credits) are so well-executed, this has become one of my top 10 superhero films of all time. This movie is the new benchmark for the term "staying true to the source material."

This movie has it all! Action, romance, drama, and comedy. Lots of comedy! This movie is not a sequal to Reynolds Deadpool character in Wolverine, though you do get two x-men in tow plus tons of jokes at the X-men's expense. Generation X viewers are going to love this movie, especially the little nod Reynolds gives in the final scene to a certain 80's coming of age movie. People of all ages will love it, though you may not want to show it to young children. All in all, the best movie of the year ...so far!
