First about the movie. I love this movie as will any other fan of the comics. That being said to parents; it is not kid friendly, nor should it be. It is rated R and it keeps to the spirit of the comics with quick wit, crudeness, and sarcasm. So expect to hear bad words and see some nudity. But I love this movie and believe it masterfully portrayed the character with a humor/action blend. As for the packaging, another great steelbook.

Not the most original of superhero movies, but there's no denying how good Ryan Reynolds pulls off the Merc with a Mouth. While the humor might not be for everyone, it's still a fantastic movie if you'd like your superhero movies to change things up a little bit. Self-referencial, packed with easter eggs for the eagle-eyed viewer, and a fun right from start to finish. Give it a watch if any of that sounds interesting to you.

didnt see this in the theater, and now wish I did. Extremely funny, even if you never got into the comics, some inside jokes but a great stand alone film nonetheless. Special effects are outstanding as you would expect but it is violent, but considering its Deadpool, it's not that bad...that being said this is not for kids, but by now everyone already knows it or your kids have already snuck a copy and are laughing themselves silly.

This is NOT a kids movie. Unlike most of the other comic book movies, Deadpool ventured into a much more "adult humor" area. With that being said, the movie was great and I really hope that they come out with a sequel. I picked this up at Best Buy since I was able to get the DVD with out all the extra junk (special features, limited edition, etc). I just wanted the movie, and Best Buy had that in stock, release day, at a good price.

Deadpool-- needs no introduction. Easily the most irreverent comic book character to hit the big screen, this entry is a blast from start to finish, filled with insane energy and 4th wall breaking chuckles galore. Pretty slick visuals too in 4K HDR. Definitely recommended if you don't mind a ton of profanity and violence and are looking for something a little less vanilla in your comic book movies!

Deadpool, though for their low film budget, did an outstanding job portraying the mercenary with a mouth. It is very true to Deadpool's comic personality with the sarcastic one-liners and fourth wall-breaking. It is a must-see movie for comic fans of Deadpool and 'hero' movies in general. But be warned, it is not a film you would have your kids watch with you unless you're okay with the vulgar language and nudity (and some gore).

As a rated R love story, it doesn't get any better than this, and that is what it is. All the characters are awesome the humor is off the charts without being over the top, and Deadpool was kept true to form. A love story surrounded by a superhero world. Perfect blend. Studios will use this as a benchmark for future R hero movies now that it has been proven. BuY it... watch it. .then get everyone you know to watch it. Great movie!

I was totally caught off guard with this movie. For those of us who didn't read/follow the comics back-in-the-day I really had no idea what to expect and I certainly didn't expect this. I think I was more shocked, no offended. I've since found myself watching/wanting to watch it several more times. Great comedy action movie. Warning! not for the very young as it has much more adult language and actions than most other movies.

As a fan of comics books, and comic book movies in general, I was skeptically hopeful when I saw this film. But what a great movie! It stayed true to the heart of the character and the comic it was based off of, and provided dazzling action sequences, great story, and incredibly witty (and irreverent) dialogue! The satirical approach of poking fun at other movies of this genre was just icing on the cake. A must have!!!

The movie? It's a fun lark. Has some tonal issues with the narration (is the narrator out of his mind or is he lucidly discussing his relationship? Both!) and the villain is boilerplate standard, but overall it's fun. The steelbook is attractive. Opens to reveal the Deadpool photo of Ryan Reynolds in character spoofing the infamous Burt Reynolds' Cosmopolitan "centerfold." Worth buying if you like collecting steel books.

If you've ever complained that comic book movies don't ever stay true to the characters they portray, then look no further. Deadpool is one of the best comic book movies out there. Excellent action, hilarious, and great nods to the comics. Please don't be confused by the fact it's a comic movie, Deadpool earns its "R" rating with nudity, violence, language, and overall content. But it's glorious because of it. Watch this movie!

This is a comic book adaption that is very much not intended for children; but for adults who enjoy an 'R' rated sense of humor, or especially for those who know the comic books, will very, very much enjoy this dead on performance of one of Marvel most popular characters. Ryan Reynolds captured the character perfectly. Yes, the violence and language is extreme, but again, if you know Deadpool, you know what you're getting into.

This is a FUNNY movie! It quite possibly may be the Funniest Movie Ever Made (A claim still held by Young Frankenstein)! The humor ain't for kids, but if you DON'T have this one (because it's not one of the Official Marvel Entanglements or whatever) - I SWEAR you're missing out. Buy it! Cry until someone buys it for you. Stare at someone until they... you get it. Just GET IT. Best Buy had the BEST price when I bought it, so...

Ryan Reynolds played this character perfectly and totally avenged himself for the horrible movie that was green lantern. I dont know what to say other than the typical deadpool humor is there. However, this movie is DEFINITELY NOT, I repeat DEFINITELY NOT, suitable for children! There's a ring pop up his butt and the language...awesome for an adult who isn't prude but definitely not something I would ever let my daughter see.

Deadpool is finally a movie that captures the essence of the character and maintains a comic book feel. Finally a rated R comic book movie, we haven't had something this good since Blade. Ryan Reynolds truly was born to play Deadpool and it shows in every scene. Can they capture this again in a sequel? Only time will tell, I just hope they take the same approach and do not compromise on any of the elements that made this work.

My wife, who is hard to impress with superhero movies, absolutely loves this one, and I wholeheartedly agree. Deadpool absolutely deserved its Golden Globe nominations, and so did Ryan Reynolds. As a longtime Reynolds fan, this is the role he was born to play. Great blend of action comedy, and even pathos. This is the movie that will always make me remember National Women's Day exists, and I plan to celebrate it!

Who knew that when making a superhero movie one should stay faithful to the source material and hire awesome actors instantly make a hit. Hope you guys notice the sarcasm in my review lol. Now my questions are will Fox repair and fix the damage done to the X-Men franchise and is Deadpool a one hit wonder? Only time will tell, but I hope that Fox is finally started to get its act together and start making good movies.

You probably don't wanna let your young children see this, hahaha but it is one of the most entertaining Marvel movies I have seen! Picture quality is excellent as a 4K movie should be, but I have noticed that you have to adjust your picture settings to get optimal viewing. So take a moment and go through your 4K TV's picture settings, and you may have to manually adjust a custom setting, but you'll be glad you did!

oh hi there, before you even think about watching this movie you have to remember this is one of the most twisted and most amazing Marvel characters to ever grace the movies. That being said you would actually have to hate Deadpool with a passion do not watch this movie. It has everything that a fan of Deadpool could want His love affair with Wolverine just to mention a little :) Enjoy this movie with someone close

When the movie came out, many parents complained about it because they did not research the character. They assumed this was a PG marvel character. And just with that backstory, it makes this movie even that much greater when watching the raunchy scenes picturing what the parents must've gone through with their kids watching the movie together.
