Deadpool is one of those rare comicbook adaptations done right!!! Great fan service to the character. Thankfully they chose the right actor for the role! I just hope FOX movie studios learned from Ryan Reynolds and the director team on what works and finally take away the Xmen movies from that attrocious movie director bryan singer... hes run the xmen (just like he did with superman returns) to the ground with his stupid mesh of historical timelines mixed with kiddie mutants. Stick to the source material and cut out the bs, just like they did with Deapool!

With 20th Century Fox still holding onto the rights for any Marvel characters associated with the X-Men, it's been disappointing that those characters haven't been able to cross over into the MCU. This movie makes a good case for Fox though. While some of their Marvel features have been less than stellar (coughfantasticfourcough) this was an exception. Ryan Reynolds was perfect in the role of Deadpool and more than made up for Fox's butchering of the character in X-Men Origins Wolverine. The R Rating is definitely warranted. This movie is not for kids.

Finally, a superhero movie unlike any other superhero movie. Deadpool succeeds where other movies fail. Yes, it has the cliche good guy against super bad guy, and the cliche final showdown. But this movie makes either entertaining to watch and frankly, you'd almost wish the movie had more bad guys to kill. Other than that, the story succeeds at plucking at your heartstrings with a pretty solid backstory, and it actually makes you interested in the character and identify with his plight and 'raison d'etre'. Highly recommended for your action movie night.

I've been a long time reader of the comic books so I wasn't too impressed with how the character was handled in x-men origins even though the casting was spot on. I've known since Blade Trinity that Ryan Reynolds was perfect for the roll. There are some variations from the source material but it's faithful in all the ways that count. The jokes are constant and most hit the mark which is unusual for that approach. The action is violent and expertly done. The story serves its purpose in this kind of film. And Deadpool himself has absolutely no filter.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting much from the upgrade to 4K, but wow, the colors pop SO MUCH more compared to the Blu-ray, especially the red of Deadpool’s costume. I’m pretty impressed by the quality of this release, and it really does show how big of an improvement HDR can be, even if the detail isn’t the biggest upgrade from the already-nice Blu-ray. Recommended!

Movie is enjoyable and funny. Not a movie for young kids due to the language.

it was THIS movie. Rebooting Deadpool - and with the same actor - was risky. I've never been happier to see Hollywood take a risk like this! This movie captures the essence of the character pretty well, even if it isn't 100% true to the comics - then again, which of the comic remakes has been true to the comics? How many Superman/Spiderman/Batman/Hulk/Fantastic Fours have there been now? Ryan Reynolds deserves Leo DeCaprio's Oscar for this. I mean really, Leo should just polish it up and swing by Ryan's house and give it to him. Maximum effort!

It had a nice case and the graphics were pretty. I am happy with the purchase.

One of the better action hero movies. I definitely liked the second one better.

The packaging and product is very elegant and impressive. The movie itself is very good and inserts were well packed. The only drawback is the hefty price this exclusive steelbook has. I would not mind paying the $29.99 if a 3D disc was included, but it was not. You are basically paying an extra $10 for the limited packaging and not so much the content which is the same as a regular Blu-Ray release. In my opinion, a higher price should also include extra discs, content, inserts, or artwork. Still, this was a very well packaged product.

I really, really liked Deadpool. And you know what? I didn't expect to. Seriously, I was never a fan of the character (in the sense that I hardly knew anything about him) and the humor as well as the violence seemed forced and overdone in the trailers. Still, I remained interested in the film, I just never expected it to actually be good - until the reviews arrived. After most critics unexpectedly showered this newest superhero movie with praise, I went in cautiously optimistic (but still fully prepared to hate the film).

As you have heard, your children, SHOULD NOT watch this movie. If they are over 8 years old, they will likely understand WAAAAY more of the adult comedy in this movie than you are comfortable with. That being said, for adults, that like a good comic book film, this is GREAT. The sarcasm is first-rate, the violence is ultra, and the improv is evident and funny as all heck. I bought it without having seen it. Ryan Reynolds has redeemed himself for Green Lantern, even though, I think he did his best with a horrible story and script.

You can tell this was a passion project for Ryan Reynolds. Great care and attention was paid to all aspects of the film, from the story, editing, pacing, character development, special effects and stunts -- all of which exceeded my expectations! The way Deadpool plays with comic book movie conventions and all of the 4th wall breaks are just really entertaining-- I highly recommend this movie to anyone with a sense of humor, regardless of whether or not you're a comic book fan... And the Steelbook packaging is pretty sweet, too!

Always loved deadpool growing up and glad they did a better job in his solo film compared to when they messed him up in X-men. Then again it's X-men and those aren't the greatest of the comic book movies. Anyways back to the movie, if you were expecting this to be a kids movie maybe you should've paid attention to the Rated-R rating. Deadpool is far from kid friendly and this is actually toned down compared to the comic books. Lastly love the DVD, had to settle for this version because the steel book version sold out it still good

I watched this movie in theaters and I wanted it to be able to watch at home by legal means so I picked it up while it was on sale. The really great thing is that it comes with an iTunes compatible digital copy not all movie Blu-rays do the only one they always work with is Ultraviolet, and I hate ultraviolet, I have the worst internet connection at home so I can not just stream an HD movie when i want, but I can set itunes to download it while I am at work and come home to it and then watch it on my Big screen without issue.

If you happened to be living in a closet, when this film came out in early 2016, then please, get out of the closet and watch this masterful Marvel movie. The best in it's series, even better then any Captain America, or even Thor movies, this movie almost did not get made due to the violent content of the film, and believe me, this movie is definitely an R rated film. It works on so many levels, with a great cast, and a superb screen play, you have to pick this one up, I promise you, you will not be disappointed..

Steelbook's are fantastic for film collectors, and Deadpool is definitely a movie that deserves the Steelbook treatment. The artwork on the case is unique and is alone worth the purchase, especially for fans of the character. There are a ton of special features and behind the scenes for filmmaking fans and honestly the only issue is that there isn't an extended cut that restores some of the deleted scenes. There's an lengthy sequence that was entirely removed and some other moments that really should have made the final cut.

I don't know what to say unless you're ready for loads of laughs and lots of action. Funny movie, unabridged humor and definitely graphic scenes. With no chance of a PG13 in mind, this movie was done right!!! Worth owning because of the comedy and replay value, throw it on any time and your friends will laugh their buns off. The opening scene in 4k, alone is worth the extra expense but the rest of the movie benefits from the video and sound enhancements as well. Don't kid yourself, this is one movie worth owning.
