Given that you can read about the movie from numerous sites this review will concentrate on the packaging and the price. The Best Buy exclusive Steelbook is, well a steelbook, with a variant cover pic and a typical Deadpool-ist gate-fold pic spoofing that classic Burt Cosmo centerfold from '72 (I know you all got the "Reynolds/Reynolds, gatefold/centerfold). And then there's the price, everyday 17.99 and often times on sale for 14.99. If you haven't grabbed the movie on Blu-ray this is one to get!

This movie was great and for the mothers who are saying that they expected better from a superhero movie for little Timmy to see you are wrong. If you brought your kids and never questioned "Oh why are they pushing people to see their IDs?" Then it is kinda your fault for not checking into the movie more. Deadpool is not for kids, the internet and many ads clearly stated that, before you buy this movie or see it in theaters be aware of this. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS. LITTLE TIMMY DOESN'T NEED TO SEE THIS!

Excellent use of Deadpool's humor and breaking of the fourth wall

This is a great movie, filled to the brim with raunchy jokes, clever humor, and little nods to the Marvel fans out there who know their stuff from the Deadpool comics. It earned it's R-rating about 5 minutes into the movie, so it's definitely not for the young comic fans out there. If you want a movie that can make you laugh, gross you out, and pull at your heartstrings all sometimes within the same scene, and enjoy bouts of graphic violence and stellar action, then this is the film for you.

So, let's get one thing straight to begin with. They do make fun of Deadpool's previous appearance in X-Men Origins Wolverine. As far as the movie itself? Yeah, it's a laugh riot. If a joke doesn't work, there's a new one coming real quick. Ryan Reynolds is perfect in the role too... However, I do want to mention that there's actually some heart to the film, and Reynolds and Morena Baccarin have chemistry in spades. The disc could use a few more extras, but visually the film is pretty much perfect.

I saw Deadpool in the theatre and loved it. I'd been waiting years for this movie, and it did not disappoint. This Steelbook Blu-ray doesn't disappoint either. The movie looks and sounds great and the special features are fun and - surprisingly - could even safe your life. But I'll let you discover that on your own. But the real treasure here is the collectable case. I love the Steelbook cases and this is one of my favorites. It's simple and somehow elegant, despite the vulgar and violent contents.

Definitely not for kids, maybe not even for teens, but the King of breaking the fourth wall is worth the watch and the price was well worth it for a Blueray DVD. I can hardly wait for the sequel. The characters are fresh even if they don't follow the Marvel comic exactly. Certainly a step up from the Deadpool portrayed in X-men Origins Wolverine. And that they were able to make fun of it was especially enjoyable. Definitely a good one for adults who enjoy action and Marvel, as well as being hilarious.

My wife is a self-proclaimed comicbook geek so she dragged me to see this movie in the theater on Valentine's day and insisted on pre-ordering the Best Buy exclusive Steelbook bluray. I personally enjoyed the fact that this movie didn't shy away from an "R" rating with adult language and adult situations. Not all movies need to be appropriate for children and this one certainly is not, but for it's intended audience it hits the mark and is a refreshing change of pace from the other superhero franchises.

The 2 year anniversary Steelbook case was worth the re purchase.

This is it! THE movie we all needed! The movie the superhero genre needed! The movie the audience needed! The movie the movie industry needed! The movie Ryan Reynolds needed! This is Deadpool! Go watch it immediately! Note: NOT for kids! Don't go in thinking this can't be that inappropriate, it's just a superhero movie... Like X-Men or Spider-Man, right? That's like thinking Game of Thrones can't be that inappropriate, it's just a fantasy series. It's like comparing GoT to a Disney princess movie!

While I was extremely happy with the movie I was a little disappointed in the SteelBook packaging. It would have been a lot nicer if there was some embossing or something on the cover to make it a little higher quality feeling. There also should have been an attachment area on the inside for the DVD like there was for the Blu-Ray. Instead the DVD was just placed in the packaging in a cardboard sleeve like it was added as an afterthought. The movie was great though and the extras were a lot of fun.

This movie is definitely not for kids! Onto the beauty. This movie is a gem among huge piles of garbage. It's hilarious on several different levels. Some people enjoy cheap cursing jokes, some enjoy dark humor, some enjoy intellectual humor, and some enjoy crazy off the wall humor. This movie has humor I never even thought of. Ryan Reynolds is EPIC in this movie and didn't fail to impress fans. Gratuitous violence, crude language, nudity, drug use, suggestive themes, gore, and so much more.

As a Marvel comics fan and a Deadpool fan in particular, I have to say that this movie stayed true to the character and instantly became one of my all time favorites! A must see for any Deadpool fan. However saying that, I feel that I must add that this movie is NOT FOR YOUNG KIDS! There is a lot of adult humor which I found to be very entertaining but it was definitely for adults only. For anyone who wants a different kind of comic book movie or just a great comedy I highly recommend Deadpool!

Action packed from the beginning; very clever storytelling.

For starters, this is so not a kid movie. Anyone considering this for someone under the age of 17 should just put it back on the shelf. Between the adult humor and gratuitous violence it has earned its R rating but it is by far one of the most enjoyable super hero movies I have ever seen. Ryan Reynolds was fantastic and for those Firefly fans still out there seeing Inara on the big screen was also a treat. Irreverent, smart, messy, fun, but keep it for the grownups. Even better in 4K!

This is the first steelbook I’ve ever purchased. In fact, I haven’t collected physical movies in quite some time. I decided since I have a 4K tv and an Xbox One X, I’ll start buying 4K Blu-ray’s for the best viewing experience. Deadpool is one of my favorite movies so buying the steelbook was a no brainer. Plus it’s true 4K! Glad I got it when I did too. It sold out everywhere like a week later.

Watched it in theaters with my girlfriend, bought it the day it came out on blu ray. I bought the version that came with the bluray and dvd and the quality is great for the blu ray. The dvd is as expected, lower res than blu ray but still enjoyable.The movie is like a rated R X-Men, or like Wanted mixed with a Seth Rogan movie but with super powers and in the marvel universe. If you are protective of what your kids or yourself watch, don't get this movie, to anyone else though its great.

This is stating the obvious to anyone who has been on the internet since the Deluge of Deadpool started last year but this move is NOT family friendly and is NOT for everyone. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, this is far and away my favorite Marvel movie so far, even surpassing the very, very good GotG. It's crude, profane, obscene, over the top violence and almost non-stop laughing from me. I highly recommend this to just about anyone over the age of 16 with a sense of humor.

After the horrible rendition of Deadpool that was in the Wolverine Origins movie, we are treated to the version that is true to form of the comicbook. I can't think of anyone better than Ryan to play the part. It was if he was born to play Wade Wilson. This movie is rated R for a reason and that's a reason to love it more. If you are a fan of the steelbook editions then I suggest that you get this version because the artwork is solid and will fit nicely among your Marvel collection.

It's funny, but this is the second movie I've reviewed here, and called it silly (which it is). However, here even the movie itself is self aware of how silly it is and embraces it, and for me, that is part of what made it so enjoyable for me, despite the extreme violence. Plus, it is true to the feeling of the original source material. If you like comics and stuff there really isn't any good reason to not see this (unless you're underage or too mature), this one, earns its R rating.
