This is my third purchase of this movie, and this one was finally for me! I bought the other two,as birthday gifts for friends. Words barely cover how funny this movie is and how great an experience this vulgar, irreverent anti-hero brings to the genre of superheroes. I own this movie in Blu Ray and 4K. This movie is so good that I'd give 6 stars if I could, but this review is in consideration of the 4K version specifically. Obviously the movie doesn't change, so it is still fantastic. As for the value of investing in 4K over regular Blu Ray, I have mixed feelings. Definitely an uptick in clarity and depth, but not so much that it is leaps and bounds better than watching it in standard Blu Ray. Some movies I would re-buy to get the added quality of 4K, but this one I would have been just as happy in keeping my original Blu Ray copy. If you don't have it yet, and have a 4K TV, but the 4k version. If you already own it on Blu Ray, save your money IMO.

Saw this in theater and had to add to my Xmen/Wolverine related library. I'm disappointed that it wasn't released in 3D. This is an R movie. Given some of the adult nature and graphical scenes (not just violence) use caution showing to young ones. I was shocked that an 8 or 10 yr old was taken to the theater by his mother/guardian for this movie and sat next to me; it made ME feel uncomfortable.

It was necessary to replace my original DVD with this update, getting ready to finally go see DEADPOOL 2 when u=it opens in theaters. It's refreshing to see a fun-filled hilarious superhero film for adult audiences. Yes, it's naughty, mature, and the dialogue can be offensive, but sol what? This is one of the most entertaining action hero films made. BRAVO!!!!

Excellent film. Solid A film, might even be an A+. Up there in the top 10 all time greatest Superhero movies with the first Avengers, Captain America Winter Soldier and Civil War, the first X-Men movie and First Class, the first And second Spider-Man films with Tobey McGuire, and the first Iron Man, and the Punisher (I'm biased towards this one). Very adult humor and a fair amount of nudity.

Awesome movie, but for those that just think "marvel movie" and think it's ok for all without background on the deadpool character, just realize that this isn't the typical marvel movie. Deadpool is referred to as the merc with a mouth and the movie contains lots of adult language, violence (graphic) and s3xual content. All that said, the movie is highly recommended for the appropriate ages.

Before I watched this film I tended to call myself somewhat of a connoisseur of the Marvel Cinematic Universe... Well, Deadpool blew the entire universe to smithereens. This sarcastic, innovative, and profane installment from the XMen side of the galaxy really feels more authentic and transparent than all of the Thors and Wolverines combined. Watch it. If you're over 18. Because profanity.

This is a hilarious version of the fourth wall breaking, nefarious "hero" Deadpool. This version of Deadpool is certainly much better than the one featured in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This movie is great for for those who enjoy the super hero genre, but Deadpool is more of an anti-hero which means this film is chock full of content that may be inappropriate for young children.

When I bought it, I already knew that Deadpool was a great film. I was taken aback by how good the extras were. Entertaining commentary with Reynolds and the writers. Deleted scenes that really belonged in the movie and a 90 minute documentary on getting the movie made. Plus the "Fun Sack" which has all of the trailers and promotional clips. Great buy, definitely worth the money.

This flick is not the same as the other Marvel movies, so if you're looking for something for your kids... pass! However if you like adult humor, action movies and/or superheroes, this one is a great pick. Deadpool is a fan favorite character and this movie exemplifies why. Ryan Reynolds shines in his role with a lot of humor poking fun at himself and a lot of fourth wall breaking.

This is an irreverent and funny movie. The banter, the 4th wall breaking and the characters make this a fun ride. You get all the action of a normal hero movie but with an R rating you get more sexy time and violence with some great pop culture references that come fast and furious, so multiple viewing will give more jokes time to sink in. Enjoy a few belly laughs while Deadpool kicks it.

Just watched the movie and I must say I'm so glad I ordered the bluray! I figured if over 9'000 people wrote a review . . . I couldn't go wrong. This movie told an action packed, slightly gory love story! And fantastic special FX. I would highly recommend this for movie lovers in general who don't have serious heart problems! This was like riding on a sick Rollercoaster - loved it!!!

The review is on the steelbook itself, and not on the movie. The steelbook has a a cool finish with "scratches" on it; which are part of the artwork, not actual scratches. The spine is upside down/backwards, but I just place it on the shelf facing the opposite direction, so that really was not a problem. I did not get this on release day, and I'm glad it was made available again.

Deadpool is what every other comic movie should aspire to. Not all comic movies need to be rated R but this movie proved that comic movie can be smart and funny and great and still stay true to their characters. This movie was lovingly handled rather then given to a director who just wants to put his name on a movie. I loved it in theaters, I love it on Blue Ray. Worth every penny IMHO

Like the best Comic movie of the year. This is an instant classic. It kinda pointless for this review because this is sold out and now a real collectors item. Thus blueray is awesome the packaging inside and out. The extra features include a documentary, outakes, and deleted scenes. There's not much more you can ask for other than a happy end and Deadpool makes sure he gives you that.

This is a great comedy movie. That just so happens to have a superhero in it. Deadpool knows he's in a movie and doesn't care. This movie will give everyone a little something. But NOT kids, keep them clear until they are old enough to know about the birds and bees. I laughed, I cried, I wanted a chimichanga. This is about as close to living in the Marvel world as you can get. Enjoy!

Ryan Reynolds in awesome! This is a superhero strictly for the adult audience, with the humor, language, and partial nudity (Ryan's butt for more than one glance) and more. A witty story, great characters, and that's all it takes to make for a great ride! It takes a few minutes to get grounded and figure out what is going on, but if you're the adventurous type, you'll love this film.

Going into the movie, I honestly knew nothing about the character Deadpool, and that's even with me being a comic book fan. That probably made the movie even better as the humor and comedy brought my to tears as funny line after funny line was delivered perfectly by Ryan Reynolds. You owe it to yourself to enter the world of deadpool and hopefully it becomes a long running franchise.

Deadpool is very unique take on a superhero movie as Deadpool is not your typical superhero. This movie is fast paced and action packed and is definitely not for all ages. I would recommend this for anyone who is not squeamish around blood gore as there is no shortage of it. It also has comedy incorporated into all the action/violence. Don't watch with young children.

When Ryan Reynolds was cast as Deadpool in the Wolverine movie I told my friends they picked the perfect actor for it. Then I saw the movie, I was mad, they ruined his character. Then when I heard they were making this movie I figured they were going to stick with the story line. I am so happy they didn't. I'm glad they saw the error of their ways and gave us the Deadpool deserved .
