Paired with a Denon X4300h. Sounds great. Wear in period was over a week of heavy use. These things are gorgeous.

I got these as open box at bb. This is the second pair I bought. Now I have two pairs for front and back speakers. They sound excellent together. If you can afford them, get them. You will not regret. Btw, you will need a little juice in your receivers to run these speakers together.

Clear, powerful sound. A little lacking in bass. Easy to use.

Great speakers. Don’t need a separate subwoofer as these have built in powered subs. Only star missing is because they’re “thumpers” as a DefTech customer service explained, they “pop” a little as the subwoofer kicks on when a signal first goes to the speaker.

We just recently bought these tower speakers and definitive sound is one of the best names out. They have quality sound and the type of crisp clear sound that comes from them. Any person getting ready to purchase these towers will be in awe of the quality the speakers put out.

the sound is wonderful, and the range of volume very good - ie, can have lower and still get good sound. am using with TV, but primarily for stereo and have been doing audio books, clarity with the audio books is wonderful, and I hear parts of the music have never heard before.

Very good speaker mid-level speaker. It lacks the clarity of a $3,000 Bang & Olufsen speaker; but, is a great buy for someone looking to upgrade their home theater from a sound bar or entry level Klipsch-type system.

Had a Polk omni surround bar with sub and it just stopped working. Didnt want to spend another grand on sound bar with sub so went back to the tower speakers, These speakers impress. When the wife complains its to loud then its just right!!

I had no idea what good sound was like until i listened to these speakers, Coming from Bose for many years and I'm blown away how much better they sound.

Initially I had gone to the store to audition polk speaker rtia9 but it was not in stock. I happened to hear these at the store and liked the sound so I decided to tried them at home. They put out big and spacious sound. I am very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend these speakers.

Wow! What a tremendous value. $1700 for a speaker of this quality and power. I have zero regrets purchasing these and I highly recommend.

Bought these speakers after comparing to several others in the magnolia sound studio at our local Best Buy. The Definitive Technology speakers really stood out to others I compared to in the price range.The intelligent bass control fills the room without a sub-woofer. Great Sound for home theater.

Now that I think I've got issues sorted out these speakers sound amazing. First speaker I had had a horrible buzzing/humming sound coming from it, so Def Tech told me to return it to store. Second speaker had a rattling sound coming from the bass radiator, found a loose but on the back side of it, once tightened up I've had no more issues so far.

I upgraded from a beginner Home Theater system purchased in 2006. The Geek Squad set up for me, various courteous and knowledgeable guys. I am still learning all the different ways to play the different media.

These speakers work very well. I am using a Sony 7.2 reciter and it sounds amazing. There are two wire +/- connections. One for main tower and one for if you buy the Atmos attachments. It also has a sub cable if you want to use it as a sub. Great especially for 7.2 systems.

Speakers sound really good, easy to set up, just a little noise at start up

I cant say enough good about these towers. They hit hard, sound great, look cool, and bring the complete surround sound feeling when i watch movies.

I love this speakers. I listened to the 9040 as well. The 9040 has a lot of bass too much for me. The 9020 with a nice definitive subwoofer are awesome.

These towers are really slick: very minimal yet they can really slap with the built-in sub-bass. I've received a few notes from my neighbors when pushing them to their limits. Definitely not cheap, but if you want the bass that hits below the waist, these are great.
