Wanted to get the 9040s but could not justify $500 more. If I would have got the 9040s, I would have wanted the 9060s. The 9020s are great for me. Paired with 9040 center channel ( which was free.. that replaced a year old 1000 (which was great too) and 800s for rear, powered by a Marantz 1605, all sounds just fine to me.

The bottom of the speaker has a "D" for Definitive Technology that should light up. When I got home, this was not working. For $1000 I think, that everything should be working properly. When I called Best Buy, they said that they didn't have this speaker in stock and I would need to wait for it. Having to assemble it for surround sound and then needing to disconnect it to return it was a hassle.
