Amazing center channel with a ton of detail in dialogue. Listening to Batman's voice in Batman vs Superman shows it off well

I Have added 9060 cs to my home theater system with 9080x tower and denon receiver. Overall pretty satisfied with it. I thought of gettin 9080 cs but the extra cost was not justifiable to me. The voice quality is great. Overall a great buy.

The D logo dies not illuminate and there is something apparently wring with the crossover. The sound is muffled and the definitive technologies customer service department is not a good company to deal with and I'm pass the 14 day return window to return to Best Buy. I have contacted them 8 times or more to resolve the issue and they have been giving me the run-around for the poshest 2 weeks. Avoid Definitive Technologies at all cost, I should have followed my first mind and went with Klipsch or Bowers & Wilkins center channel speaker. I now wish I would have sent with my first choice.

Speaker lacked clarity. I ended up returning this speaker. For the price was able to go a different route

lack of high's,midrange sounded fair,the bass seem's to low in power the tweeter's not as clear, seem's to be lacking power,not what i expected.

Where do I start…. Unfortunately a 3 plus month process. Didn’t get sold the right tv bracket was sold one for a 60 inch when boot a 75 inch tv. The installer still installed it and it was crooked. Was up sold more services but the sales person never followed up. Ran out of space but not good!!!

Very disappointed at the sound quality and sound output

I initially purchased the CS9040 and was a bit underwhelmed with my upgrade from a 12 year old Klipsch center channel speaker. Kept it a couple of weeks listening to a variety of source materials both music and movies but it left me longing for the WOW factor. Don't get me wrong, the improvement is noticeable but just not worth the $400 price tag in my opinion. Told myself If I'm paying that much for a CS anyway, I might as well be happy with it and and not have remorse of what could have been so I gave the CS9060 a try. Happy to say that the difference is amazing! Dialogues are clearer and crisper than the 9040 and the subtle rumble that comes out of the speaker from characters with deeper voice is present and much more defined. Something a dedicated sub woofer won't catch. The speaker sounds so clear that I actually had to stick my ear close to the front L/R speakers to check if dialogues are bleeding in to them but it's all the 9060 producing it. I was also afraid the built in sub was an overkill to my set up but it nicely complimented my decicated sub woofer. It provides a wider soundstage for the bass that's room filling regardless of listening position. It's currently hooked up to a Denon AVR3300 and paired with Infinity Reference towers. Unfortunately the timber between speakers is noticeably different so I ended up upgrading them to the BP9040s as well and together they sound fantastic! All in the CS9060 is a good investment if you're not getting what you need from your CS but a word of caution to the budget conscious...it will make you want to upgrade the rest of your speakers once you hook this baby up to a non-DT set up.

Opened the box, was excited as I have heard so much about these speakers. Plugged in, and was disappointed by seeing it not powering up. Audio cracks and sounds disappointing. I will be heading to BestBuy over the weekend and give it back.

This is an incredible center channel speaker, especially when matched with BP towers. I have this center channel Def Tech along with 2 BP9040s. I wanted, at a minimum, three-way speakers with a minimum sensitivity of 90 dB, minimum frequency response of 40Hz-40kHz, 8 ohms, capable of handling high resolution audio and my Denon AVR-X6500H's 140 watts of power per channel. And the CS9060, along with the BP9040s, met all criteria. These speakers make movies sound almost equal to cinema quality, will make rock till you drop head banging high resolution audio with internet radio and the center channel speakers make regular TV broadcast sound crystal clear. This can be especially important for a junior-senior citizen head banger like myself. Def Tech speakers are pricey, but if you can buy them on special, they are well-worth the investment for superior sound quality and helping fit into to awesome modern home entertainment system design. Along with the Def Tech speakers, I have a Sony 10" sub-woofer and in-ceiling height speakers. The sub-woofer is not really needed given the Def Tech's have 3 total sub-woofers, but all four will make the house shake. I may add Def Tech rear speaker towers also but they are not really needed at this point. And I'd like the add the A90 modules on top of the towers, but again, with my in- ceiling height speakers, those are really not needed other than for show (and possible an incremental improvement in sound quality). As it stands now, I have no regrets and love my Def Tech speakers, including this CS9060 center channel! Most importantly, invest in a high quality three-way speaker and match it with like front let and right towers from the same company.

Center channel is heart of the home theater system, it has to be the best speaker in the system, as this is the work horse. I had the CS8060 version (last generation) in a different system, when the time came to setup my basement HT system this was on top of my list, as i want to use the voice matching Mythos i already have for ATMOS, i bought the tower 9060 and use Mythos GEM as my 4 Atmos height speakers, SM 55 is surround with SC6000 as Subwoofer. this center channel doesn't disappoint me. voice is clear with a deep bass to it. it complements the 9060 very well, it is powered by Marantz 6013, i wish i would have bought them earlier when they are free with towers purchase. D Logo is nice touch, the brightness is just enough for cool touch. Aluminum on the edges added to nice looks also. As this system is in large open area sound is very immersing. if one has room i would always recommend the large center channel speakers. so my system is 5.2.4 Dolby ATMOS.

This center provides excellent clarity. The best sound to fill your room. This speaker is large so make sure you have the room. It will not disappoint.
