Bought this product and was overly impressed with the quality and sound. The sub is so powerful and loud. This sound bar system sure does pack a punch. Movies sound so great with it.

Was pointed in this direction by a sales associate when I was having problems with my LG 5.1 soundbar. He was very persuasive about the quality of the sound this definitive technology produced even though its only 3.1 channels. While the quality is good, the sound is hollow and the base is weak. I have this in a fairly large media room and it simply does not fill the space like the LG did. If I had to do it over I would have kept the LG and its problems ie base not staying connected, not able to sink it up with the tv and losing wifi connection. For the money the Definitive Technology cost there are better options. Having to use google home for connection is aweful.

Amazing sound for soundbar. Favorite feature is wireless subwoofer. Has great bass. Perfect for a start starter sound system. Great value

I got it to because this is one of the few soundbars that work with Chromecast. The only downfall is price. It's very pricey and the sound isn't COMPLETELY mind blowing. But still great sound non the less.

Excellent sound quality and level. Easy to install and set up. Bass from subwoofer is absolutely amazing.

Finally a sound bar that has dedicated center channel control. I have been using sound bars for years now due to my room setup, and one thing that has always bothered me was that the voices were never as clear as I wanted but the bass was always there. Then comes this Definitive Technology studio slim! It fits my space perfectly, the sub has plenty of bass and the setup with google app was easy as it gets. It's a little on the pricey side but exactly as advertised and just what I needed.

This is amazing for TV and for music. If you're looking for a system and don't have the ability to place surround sound speakers, then look no further. That said, the lack of surround sound speakers makes this not the best choice if you're looking for an easy home theater (Samsung's higher end soundbars are where you want to go for that). The bass is SUPERB. Tight, and house shaking. But the lack of surrounds just make me miss them. But that's what a basement home theater is for :)

For the first time ever I was disappointed in Best Buy. I bought 2 sound bars and when they worked they had excellent sound quality. 50% of the time the were sound issues(missing voices, missing background sound, and low volume with both.) on both sound bars. I tried for 4 days to get ahold of the Definitive company but no would answer. I tried to get a hold a hold on someone in the Magnolia Dept. to see if they could help me but all I got was transferred or put on hold with no answer. Luckily I was able to return the product. I wish that they would work as this is the only solution that I could find.

I purchased this because you can change the volume of different speakers and a very knowledgeable employee bought the same one. It has very suprising power and sound for the size.

This sound bar has failed and I CANNOT SPEAK TO ANYONE AT THE DEF TECH CUSTOMER SERVICE as they immediately hang up on you when you answer after using their callback service. This has happened 8 times in a row. I am done with this company and any product with their name on it Sound bar was more costly compared to other similar products. Best Buy sales rep couldn't say enough about why we should purchase this sound bar over the others. RUN THE OTHER WAY FROM THESE PRODUCTS!!

The sound from this is outstanding. Very easy to setup and very sleek on the TV stand.

great surround sound. Would recommend and the price not too bad

This is a high end sound bar. It is engineered well, sounds great, and looks good. Voice and bass are solid and clear. I bought this just before the holidays on sale. Then 3 weeks later Best Buy honored their price match guarantee - so i saved more. A great buy at $599. This is a keeper! Get yourself 1 while you can !

The Studio Slim Series 3.1-Channel Soundbar System was a great investment for us. The volume and quality of sound from such a compact sound system is very impressive. Additionally, we just mounted our new flat screen over the fireplace and attached the soundbar with Rocketfish mounts and the two components look like just one. Makes for a handsome system.

Sounds as good as expected. Hoped it would be more of a "surround sound" but still does a good job.

Great for watching movies and picking up background sounds. This is definitely the sound bar for you if you are looking for a theater effect. However, I was looking for a product that would clear up voices and I still find myself turning up the volume for talking scenes and turning it back down during action.

I decided to purchase Definitive Technology Studio Slim 3.1 soundbar after the store clerk recommended it. Prior to that, I had never heard of DT. The build material quality looked decent. Set up was simple. The remote felt cheap and basic. The remote has three buttons for setting, movie, Music, and Sleep mode. Other than that there is no setting you can adjust. The unit worked for about six or seven months and the sub stopped responding. The sound quality was not that great, especially at that price point. I have heard better surround sound from my older VIZIO unit. I use HDMI Arc to connect the soundboard to my tv. I am still under the 1yr factory warranty, I have contacted DT support. I have not heard from them yet.

Regret buying this. While the sound is excellent it is a pain to operate. Using Bluetooth disconnects the connection to the tv and seems to require going through chrome cast which wants to take over everything in my house! Not happy with this expensive waste.
