was recommended by the best buy team to buy this product, installed it, looks great. easy to set up. worked well enough for about 2 weeks. sound was ok, not on par with the price but good enough for what I needed. first it started Popping for no reason. then it added a stutter in the sound, it would quickly cut in and out. next it added shutting off for no reason. finally it didn't produce any sound. contacted the manufacture online. no response. I waited 2 weeks, no reply. found a phone number and called it. after a lengthy wait I talked to a support tech who quickly got to "we'll ship out a new one" no testing of anything, no software updating... just a new one in the mail. it took a month to get the new one. no excuse for what took so long, but now I'm 6 weeks with out the product I purchased. set up the new one and we have sound again. 2 weeks later, same problems started all over. now is when I finally get a reply to my online request. they sent me a file that I needed to download to a flash drive. I called the phone number, very long wait time, they suggested I install the download from the previous help request. since I was having the same problem with the "new" sound bar I applied the same recommended fix. and it worked. I had sound again. 2 weeks later... not the same problem. A new problem, I started hearing a very high pitch sound. sounded like someone running their finger over a glass of water. shut off the sound bar and it still made the sound. physically unplug the bar and it stopped. plugged it back in, turn it on and the sound was louder. to the point the animals left the room, I had to cover my ears to stop the pain while I unplugged the bar again. I will not plug this in again, I will never buy a definitive product again. this is largely my fault. I had been out of the audio game for a very long time and didn't know the manufacturers. I trusted the best buy pro and didn't do my own research. I assumed they deal with this stuff every day surely they know what is good and what isn't. I know better now and will buy a product that I choose, regardless of the best buy pro's recommendations.

Sound is fine, but extremely disappointed that we could not eliminate the second remote. This soundbar will not connect with others. Sales guys pushing it should advise clients on that. Lesson learned for me - read the reviews here before trusting "experts" on the magnolia floor.

The sound that comes from this sound bar is awesome. It was easy to hook up and also I was able to get the app loaded on my phone. Now I can play my music from my phone. I love this system

Went in ready to purchase the $1400 Bose sound bar, walked out with this instead. I listened to this not knowing what it was or what to expect. Dang, Dang, Dang!!!!!

I was looking into other sounds bar, but wanted something with better quality. This was recommended to me. It was easy to setup. I haven't try the app control yet.

I'll keep it simple. The sound quality is great. The programming, connectivity, versatility, stability, usability of the interface is pure garbage. This certainly overshadows the fact that the sound is quite good for the 10 minutes it decides to work correctly every 6 months. But of course, it only works in one mode as switching the way in which it is used is so arduous you select only one and stick with it. The headache isn't worth it. NEVER BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER DT PRODUCT!!!

Sound quality is very very good! Sounds better than bose 300, i compared it side by side.

This is a fantastic soundbar. well worth the money. Enhances your TV experience, incredibly so.

So first off this was purchased today and I had high hopes with how the salesman talked it up and how well Definitive products usually perform, but I learned quickly that I can't always go off of a salespersons word, usually I wouldn't, but for once I did. My living room is very large for what it is (26' X 18') and the large space made this sound bar sound terrible, no bass, no mids, and the highs were even muddy, it was dull and flat, like a single channel speaker in front of the room. Also the lack of Bluetooth was annoying, it's a bit of a pain to get the whole setup working right through wifi. I will say it's beautifully made and music does sound good on it, but not what I was looking for when I'm spending nearly $700 on a sound bar. Should have stuck with my first choice and not let the salesman talk me into this one. All in all I will be returning it, and I will think twice before ever listening to a salesperson in buying anything audio related again. If you have a small room this may work great but not worth the price tag in a larger room.

Love this sound bar. This sound bar exceeds all other sound bars for the price. I've had this sound bar for over a year and have had no issues.

I've always trusted Best Buy employees to give me good advice, but this time was a major fail. We've had trouble with this connecting since we bought it, and just over a year later, the soundbar driver has completely failed. Of course, the warranty has already run out. Def Tech also does not update the software very often, which should be a red flag. Now I have 2 wireless Def Tech speakers that can't be used because I will not buy another Def Tech soundbar.

The sound bar quality is very good, but from the time I opened the box, the remote control would not work for volume control. I called the Definitive Technologies (DT) service number provided, and with the tech determined that the remote control was bad. DT said a new one would be sent to me. Then over a period of a month, I called back twice and kept getting excuses from DT as to why they did not send the replacement. I said enough is enough and returned it to my Best Buy Store. Best Buy was wonderful and gave me a full refund. I do highly recommend Best Buy for their customer service!

At any price! Soundbar has failed twice now in the same manner. produces a hurtful high pitch squeal. Has always had connectivity issues. I am stuck having to return it again.Luckily I bought the protection, but still had to take my 75 inch tv off the mounts twice now to replace. I am not the only one who has experienced this squealing noise and connectivity issues. Do your research before buying, stairway form this product.

I bought this when it was on sale last Thanksgiving for half the price. I wanted a small soundbar that can placed above my fireplace and the Def Tech Micro seemed to fit the bill. Good news is that it did fit nicely between my TV and fireplace, but that was it. As soon as i opened the box, the build quality was noticeably very cheap. The wireless subwoofer, OMG! it looked like it was $50 subwoofer and they were selling this set for $800. I expected better from Def Tech, Let's get into sound. I hate to say it was bad. Really Bad. I don't like bashing products, but it sounds as thin as it looks. Maybe i got bad one, but i doubt it. I have been an audio enthusiast for 20 years. I Tried listening to music and watching movies. 60 minutes after setting up. It went back to the box. Look, i've had at least 20 pairs of speakers in my life and currently own 10 pairs. From Martin Logan ESL's, KEF, ELAC, PSB and so on. This product from Def Tech is definitely a let down.

Sound was OK, but not great. This soundbar is not compatible with DirecTV remote so you will have to use two remotes-one for the TV and one for the sound (very annoying). The App is not very useful and doesn't really add anything of value. The sound bar died unexpectedly in the middle of a football game. Had to switch to TV audio. Wish I had not been talked into buying this soundbar.

I have had this Sound Bar for 9 months now and have had issues with the sound for 3 months now. This bar has a major issue switching from PCM (Stereo mode) to Dolby sound. It will make a loud “pop” sound then no sound will come out at all. I have contacted Definitive Tecnologies numerous times, even got a new bar sent from them and after 2 weeks of good use, the new bar did it again!!!! Now I have an expensive sound bar that is just taking up space in my living room..VERY UNHAPPY!!!!

Stopped working after a couple of years. In addition I also purchased a wireless speaker made by definitive technology and it stopped working in a couple of years as well. Don't waste your money on this equipment.

Sound was nice while it lasted - but it didn't last very long. Sub seems to still work but not not sure it will effectively pair with anything else. Won't buy this brand again.
