    What a Great Display

I looked around at several different gaming displays before purchasing this specific model and found it to be SO worth it. Compared to the Acer Predator monitor (which was the baseline for my purchasing decision) this monitor offers so much bang for the buck. Originally priced at $699, I was able to take mine home for $390. The response times are superb, the colors are true and clear, the resolution is amazing, and the lack of on-board speakers sucks. Ha. (But really, was super disappointed to find that there aren't on-board speakers on this puppy- truly my only complaint.) You won't regret purchasing this beauty, especially if you can get it on sale.

    Great gaming monitor

I ordered this monitor on Tuesday(11/28) and got it the following day, so top notch service in that respect. As far as the monitor is concerned for gaming, 144hz feels absolutely amazing with G Sync. I'm also a console player and I experienced no screen lag whatsoever while playing Battlefront or Halo MCC on Xbox. The stand is a nice upgrade from my previous monitor as well. One thing I will say is, I wish it had more inputs instead of one DP and one HDMI w/ the couple USB ports. Overall, this is an affordable monitor($400) that will give you great performance. I was looking at Acer/Asus monitors prior to this, but hearing they have had QA issues, I went with Dell.

    What a difference.

I recently built my first gaming pc. I put a GTX1070 sc graphics card in. I 7 7700k processor. 16 gigs ddr 4 the whole 9 yards basically. I have a 50" lg 4k tv that I was using as a monitor and no matter what I did I would get screen judder and screen tear like something aweful. So I started looking into all the hype about "gaming monitors" and are they worth it. I have several friends who play consoles on them and swear by them but I never got the point...now I do and especially for PC gaming. If you are new to it like I am do yourself a favor especially if you have a nvidia card that can do G sync. This monitor instantly solved all my problems. I now run my games maxing my card out and I don't get a single tear ever anymore. The picture is amazing it's 1440p so you're still above 1080p. G sync is all it's said to be and the 144hz is really the star of the show. That is what's going to cause you're screen tearing. If you're card is trying to push out more then 60 FPS and your tv/monitor can only fresh at 60hz sorry but no matter what you do it's gonna be terrible. 144hz = 144 FPS and with g sync I can actually run rocket league at 200fps with no issues though what's the point you're only getting 144 FPS anyway. I did get this monitor in sale for $500 and I feel like I stole it seriously. I can't say enough good things about it. The stand that comes with it is beautiful as well and sturdy just all around 10000000% happy with my purchase.

    Excellent Monitor

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Coming from a 27" 1920x1080 monitor with a max refresh rate of 60Hz this monitor is excellent. There is more detail in my games, and G-Sync makes it buttery smooth with no screen tearing. It took me a couple of days to get used to how smooth the graphics were and now I won't go back to my old monitor. I have this paired with an Nvidia GTX 970 and I have not had any issues with World of Warcraft or Diablo III. For G-Sync to work you do need to use the provided Display Port cable. Coloring can be a little flat out of the box but there are plenty of articles on how to calibrate this monitor around the web. There is also an issue with G-Sync where you can get a vertical line down the center of the screen. You can turn the monitor off and then back on to fix it or simply go to the Nvidia Control panel (not Geforce Experience) and turn off G-Sync hit apply, then turn it back on and hit apply.. It's not an issue with the monitor it's G-Sync that causes the vertical line. Overall I would say this is an excellent monitor for the price. And if you are not prepared to jump on to the 4K band wagon just yet or don't have enough GPU muscle in your PC 2560x1440 is a good middle ground that a GTX 970 and 1070 can handle with ease. Buy it if your in the market for a new monitor you won't be sorry.

I wasn't in the market for a new monitor, but since it was Black Friday and noticing the price with the rave reviews, I have to say, I'm glad I bought this monitor. I'm coming from an Asus 27 inch 144hz 1080p monitor, and this monitor's resolution, as well as the included g-sync function, and USB 3.0 hub makes the $350 an attractive price compared to other monitors. There is a noticeable difference of improvement in the viewing angles and readability compared to my Asus monitor. Setup was a breeze, and it looks very nice on my desk.

Great Monitor if you got Nvida

Fairly decent viewing angle compared to my other TN panel i've used in past. The response time, the fact its G-Sync, the refresh rate, and the resolution all come together to create a massive improvement compared to my previous display. Now Coming off a el cheapo Insignia 1080p 22' TV connected with HDMI (lol not even a real monitor, I know right). Maybe its the honey moon phase with it, but its such an improvement. Only downsides being that not all games will play nice with the higher refresh rate Dark Souls 3 for example freezes out my computer if I don't set the refresh rate to 60 before starting the game thru windows, and other might having such issues (don't know yet) Sonic Generations looks amazing in 2k P, but caps itself out at 60 fps. A built in speaker would have also been nice to accompany the hdmi, but it does have a audio line out, so other devices connected through hdmi can still have audio. But, if you're looking for an upgrade over 1080p but don't want to go all the way to 4k, or want the option for higher refresh its a decent screen if you can get it or price reduction. Wouldn't recommend the the full MSRP because there are other monitors out there more competitively priced, but finding it under 500 with G-Sync (which tends to be more expensive then AMD's freesync) with the resolution/refresh combined, I had trouble refusing. I wanted to wait for black friday deals, and I might still end up kicking myself in a month when they roll around, but this was difficult to pass up. If you run AMD, however you can probably find a better price with freesync.

    Amazing monitor. Ridiculous value.

2560x1440 resolution at 144 hertz is hard to find. At this price I was very skeptical. I was expecting wonky uncalibrated color, a buzzing power supply, bleeding backlight, dead pixels, clunky menus or any combination of the above. The color was almost perfect out of the box and only took a few minutes to perfect. The power supply is quiet. No backlight bleeding or dead pixels in sight. Straight forward user friendly menu onboard. I am both surprised and very happy. The edge to edge glass front was also an unexpected plus. I originally planed to use this monitor for gaming only as the other 144hz monitors I have are murder on your eyes. However this monitor hasn't given me eye fatigue even after hours of C++ qc.

This monitor is amazing. Sure it’s a TN panel, but trust me, it’s a TN panel like no other. Dell makes these in such a special way that you immediately forget about that. Can you get better colors from an IPS? Sure, but you also open up to IPS glow. If you’re buying this know what you are getting, an awesome monitor that will make your games buttery smooth with Gsync and 144hz, obviously provided that you have the card to back it up. This is the second monitor that I picked up from this line up. It’s even better than earlier revisions, minor aesthetics etc. the QC on these is amazing, no dead/stuck pixels, nothing weird. Plugged in, calibrated colors to my liking and I was good to go. These also go on sale regularly, if you can pick them up at a sale price even better, if not their full price is still worth it. Do yourself a favor and just pick one of these up, you’ll definitely won’t regret it.

    Fantastic first experience with G-Sync

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My previous monitor was a fairly plain 24" 1080p/60Hz IPS display, and while it was a solid performer for most day-to-day tasks, it often fell short when it came to gaming. I recently upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 1070, and wanted a monitor that could take advantage of the significantly higher performance I could achieve in games compared to the R9 270X it replaced. After weeks of deliberation and researching dozens of different monitors, I decided to give this one a try. Coming from an IPS panel, the TN panel sported by this monitor initially underwhelmed me, because the viewing angles were pretty weak compared to other panel types. That said, after calibrating the monitor's brightness/contrast and tweaking the color settings a little, the viewing angle did improve significantly. One key point to note is that if you're primarily doing multimedia content creation, I would probably recommend you look elsewhere. If you're wanting a monitor for Adobe CC content editing (Photoshop, Premiere, etc), the color accuracy on this monitor doesn't lend itself well to such tasks. Color accuracy is more than adequate for games, though less bold than you may be used to if you've never used a TN panel before. While the color accuracy isn't the greatest, G-Sync is well worth the compromise in my opinion. If you have yet to experience G-Sync, you need to see it in action to truly understand what a difference it makes when it comes to gaming. If you're sick of how noticeable framerate drops are during your gaming sessions, G-Sync is the cure. G-Sync adjusts the monitor's refresh rate on the fly to make dropouts significantly less perceptible, to the point that I don't think I can go back to a standard display type. 144Hz G-Sync is buttery smooth, and just too good. Dell nailed it with this monitor.
