I’ve been using ASUS VG248QE for about the past 2 and a half years now and wanted to try a G-Sync monitor and decided on this Dell S2716DGR. I’ve been using 4 VG248QE monitors. Monitor size was great, color was great in movies and pictures. I’m not a photo expert but it did seem more vibrant than the VG248QE. Very minimal back light bleed, better than the VG248QE. Out of the box I had one stuck bright Red Pixel, I tried rubbing it out which made it disappear but after having a red color over it made it come back. I tried rubbing it several times and it would react the same way each time. Once after rubbing the area and it disappeared I’d let it sit four a couple hours on a black screen, also, tried turning off the monitor (unplugged it) for a couple hours in another attempt the stuck red pixel came back. I tried using “Dead Pixel Buddy” to see if that could get rid of it and it stayed. Also used another web-based pixel fixer and it didn’t help. Factory Reset didn’t help either. The only time I didn’t see the red pixel was when that area was white. Screen wasn’t as dark as the ASUS VG248QE though I couldn’t get it any darker. This is when using black color on the screen from “Dead Pixel Buddy”. It was more washed out (grayish). Playing Battlefield 1 the, dark scenes were very dark, I couldn’t see any other players at times. These were Zeebrugge, Neville maps and Prise de Thure. I tried turning up the Brightness and contrast to 100 on both, which made it possible to see but everything was washed out and when the death screen or any of the other screens or maps came up I would be blinded or would need to turn the brightness back down. I had put Brightness and Contrast back to default (I used the “Factory Reset” to change the setting back). and turned up the in-game brightness but it seemed to be similar where the everything would be to bright and washed out. I gave up after 4 days of trying to get it to be close to where I wanted an all-around brightness and contrast to be. The final push to return the monitor was after a second Red pixel showed up about an inch directly above the original one and it was brighter.

Gonna make this a short review. I needed to replace my monitor, checked the reviews on this one then bought it. Works great, good size, g sync works perfect. What else do you need to know?

Got it for a very nice price during a sale. It's a large monitor with a ton of features. I was able to get the 144hz refresh rate on games and the clarity is really nice. I bought it along with a evga nvidia 1080 gtx and couldnt be happier

Great monitor for all my gaming uses, picture quality is very good.

I never knew how much I was missing until I used this monitor, beautiful construction and operation, and the 144hz makes such a huge difference, I have increased my KDR 2 fold just because I can see so much more clearly.

If you can get this for $350 when it is on sale definitely one of the cheapest G-Sync, 144hz and 1440p. I believe the banding issues have been solved on the newer models and there are lots of help on internet if you run in to.

Great monitor for gaming, loving the high refresh rate and G-sync.

I have always trusted Dell monitors and this one has given me no reason to lose that trust. It looks great, even without that much calibration. It really doesn't suffer from having a TN panel. The I/O is surprisingly great, with the ability for me to run my speakers out of the monitor and my headset out of my Motherboard. The stand is a dream to put together and set the height, tilt, and swivel. The only thing I hazard to fully commit to is the price. I got this on sale for $350, and it seems to be on some sort of sale a fair amount of the time. For the full price, it might not be such a sure choice as there is a lot of competition at the $600 range for G-Sync, but if you can get it on sale, go for it.

The picture clarity is great, fps is amazing. Well worth the buy

I bought one of these monitors a couple months back because of the amazing reviews and quality. I then saw that best buy had a sale for these and so I bought a second one. Best monitors I've ever owned.

Pretty amaze with the quality for gaming and the price Best Buy set. I do recommend the extended warranty from Best Buy. I did have an faulty purchase, but customer service took care of that with no problem at all.

Had been reading lots of reviews before I finally made the decision to purchase this. I always prefer Dell monitors and this one is so nice and simple looking. Was looking for 144hz monitor and got this on sale for $479.99

I have two of these and they are great. I have never had a problem with them at all. They are straight forward on the menu options. The response time, 2K and 144hrz makes it great.

Great monitor for the price. 144Hz refresh rate on 1440p was a major upgrade coming from 1080p60. Fully GSync supported, not just compatible (has GSync chip in display)

My teen loves his new monitor. He loves the rotating screen.

This is a great monitor for gaming! I play all my games at 1440p and it’s is very nice! The only negative that this monitor has is the panel being TN but that is also a benefit bc of the response time.

Purchased the monitor on Cyber Monday at an AMAZING deal and received flop. It had a dead pixel so I returned it and picked up a new one that day with no issues. I was VERY pleased how easy the return was.
