Really good monitor at this price range. Approved!

I decided to give Dell a chance when I saw this monitor on sale. At full price this monitor is realistically about $200 overpriced but I could justify spending $300 on it given BestBuy’s holiday return policy. Do not buy this monitor. The moment I plugged it in I’ve been having issues. I run a dual monitor display with another (Acer) 27” monitor. The colors on my now 3 year old Acer monitor that cost less than $200 at the time are night and day better than this $600 piece of garbage. But I could get over that. What I can’t get over is that any time the monitor even goes to sleep it stops getting recognized as a display so everything gets pushed to my 2nd monitor. To get my computer to recognize the display again I have to turn the monitor off then back on again. A minor nuisance, but a problem I’ve never run into before nonetheless. Then there is the problem with loading multiple processes at once. I have a Ryzen 7 3700 so my CPU is good. If I have YouTube running on my 2nd monitor and try to boot up a game or another program on the Dell monitor I get serious lag on the process running on the 2nd video. The problem persists anytime something loads on the Dell monitor while a video is playing on my 2nd monitor. When alt-tabbing out of a full screen game the monitor does some weird screen glitch thing which takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds before resetting my mouse position to center screen. I don’t know how to describe it, but it basically reduces the monitor size briefly to what looks like 24” while mirroring the display on the outer portions of the screen. Gameplay is inconsistent on this monitor. There are times where I feel like it runs well and others when I get incredible screen tearing to the point where some games are completely unplayable. I’ve had this monitor now for 11 days and will be returning it after this weekend’s holiday rush of returns is done. Just yesterday I had a string of dead pixels running down the middle of the monitor. Turning the monitor off and on causes them to disappear, so it was likely more of a screen glitch than anything. After this happened, there was a ~quarter inch space on the far left that mirrored the display. I had to unplug the monitor to fix that. I did also noticed a single dead pixel in the bottom left quadrant of the monitor as well. Overall this is the worst monitor I have ever owned. I would give this monitor a 0/5 stars if possible. Do not buy this overpriced piece of garbage.

Get it on sale and you got yourself a killer deal. Takes a little effort to calibrate.

really neat monitor so smooth great colors for tn panel

This Dell 27" G-Sync monitor is a great monitor considering there are others out there with similar/same specs and less quality control and reputation, yet still charge more than this one! I got this when it was on sale for $499 and don't regret it. The G-Sync is noticeable when gaming, making hi-end games run very smooth. The 2K display is also perfect for my needs.

I've been using this monitor for several weeks now and couldn't be happier with it. It offers more pixels, greater speed, and larger screen size than my previous one. You can even switch between landscape and portrait modes in just seconds. If you're looking to step up your monitor game, this one satisfies.

After doing a little research trying to decide what type of monitor I wanted I finally came to the conclusion that this monitor was the one. Sure it was a little pricey but it is definitely worth the price. The picture quality on this thing is beautiful! If you have a video card that can run smoothly at a high frame rate then this monitor is perfect for that.

Monitor is great but after awhile of using it it shoed a dead or stuck pixel

I bought this monitor direct from Dell last year, and had to buy another when I saw it was on sale at BestBuy. If you have never played on 1440p or higher, do yourself a favor and make the switch. It has also been fantastic as a work computer, as I have a lot more real estate to deal with compared to the 1080p one I came from.

Love this monitor it is great quality for all gaming.

I bought three of these monitors a few months ago for a flight SIM setup. The picture is great. It is also helpful having the extra high speed USB ports. The only negative is that the bezel is not as thin as it appears; the physical bezel is thin, but there’s black space on the screen next to it where nothing is displayed.
